I can't believe it.

Will just punched the lights out of Dylan. Honestly, I didn't know what to do. I froze in my place, my bones unable to move. Dylan lay on the ground, shaking vigorously as he struggled for breath. Will was crouched over him, his fists clenched, his knuckles white. His lips were carved into a straight line... and I knew this was no time to start cracking any cheesy jokes. His usually clear blue eyes were clouded and icy. It made my heart jump seeing how gorgeous he could look-even when he was angry. Dylan's heavy wheeze brought me back into reality, as I realised Will's punch might have caused more damage than intended. His Good Lord, way to make a good first impression!

I know I should have been happy that Will had punched that fool of a boy, but my conscience was telling me that something bad was bound to happen...

Suddenly, Will was violently shoved away by Callum. "WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING, MAN?!" Callum shouted at Will. He was fully pissed off, but I knew he was only doing it because he cared. Will didn't even answer him, in fact, he didn't even look at Callum. His eyes stayed glued to Dylan, full of hatred.

Another wave of realisation washed through me. It was my fault. Will would get into trouble on his first day of school because of me. I felt guilty, knowing that he could be permanently kicked out of school. Our school had the strictest no-fighting policy. I felt my eyes sting with tears, but I didn't want to start crying in front of everyone. So I did what I always do best when I'm in an overwhelming situation-I ran. Like the lame idiot I was.

However, I guess fate was just against me, because my leg collided into the side of the bench, causing me to plummet to the ground, only to hit my head on a huge rock. I heard a loud crack, and my head felt rubbery. I attempted to stand up, but my body felt like a ton of bricks "Aaliyah!!" I heard someone screech, but I was already slipping out of consciousness... Just. My. Luck.

"Oh Lord, is she awake?" I heard somebody ask, voice thick with concern.

"Finally! Leah? Can you hear me? How many fingers am I holding up?"

I groaned, both inside and out. My head was throbbing painfully, and all I wanted to do was sleep. Reluctantly, I opened my eyes. They burned from the sudden sunlight and I was extremely pissed off. I didn't even bother counting, out of pure frustration, so I just settled by saying:

"Mphm. 28."

Then I closed my eyes again.

A second time, I was awoken to violent shaking. I thought someone was coming to kill me, so I broke out into ninja mode and flung my hand to the nearest moving object and I hit something and heard a groan. But then I became aware of my surroundings. I was rested unsteadily on someones lap, I believe the rest of my body was on a couch... then I realised, I was most definitely not in school.

"Leah! Wake up! Matt, I hope it's not a concussion. She almost punched my face off!"

"No, it wasn't that serious, I hope. Or else we should have taken her to a hospital." Someone said. I assumed it was Matthew, and a small smile appeared on my lips, although I was still tired and I was VERY angry.

"AAAHHH!!" I screamed, Smacking my head on his arm as he tried to steady me. "Owww." I groaned, his hand hitting me where I had hit myself earlier. I sat up on the couch and put my hand to my throbbing head, feeling a cotton material on it. I was far too angry to acknowledge the fact that there was actually a patch there.

"Leah! Calm down, why are you screaming?!" Callum asked me, annoyed by my screams.

"Where the hell am I and why am I here?!" I demanded, my voice filled with venom.
