I just sat there, stunned, wondering whether the past 20 minutes was reality or a dream. Wondering whether somebody had just marked my death, without hesitation. I continued to stare at where the man had been sitting just a couple of seconds ago, playing with his gun ever so tauntingly. Now there was an empty space, yet, the atmosphere was still heavy. Not one out of the three brothers had not made an appearance, and I began to worry. What if the man killed them? Why hadn't they come to save me from the cold blooded killer? Where the hell are they?!

Suddenly, the door flung wide open, with Callum standing there, staring deep into my eyes as if he was looking for something. I just stared back, wanting answers to my unspoken questions. We continued the battle of eye contact for another 30 seconds, not speaking a word, waiting for one another to back down. However, I stayed strong... his beautiful green eyes meant nothing at this time. Soon enough, Callum began to flutter his eyes, in defeat. I raised an eyebrow questioningly, which caused his shoulders to sag.

He looked deep in thought for a moment, as if he was debating with himself, before his mouth forming into a thin, hard line.

"Ok, Aaliyah, what you saw might have been a bit confusing... but-"

"Don't bullshit me with a lie. Cut to the chase. What is actually going on here?" I snapped at him, a little bit too rudely. Oh well, who cares? I heard a giggle from behind Callum, most certainly coming from Will. Callum seemed to be laughing to himself as well. What was so funny about anything right now?

"Ok, you got me there." Callum laughed again.

"Will, Matt, get your asses in here," I ordered, wanting the whole truth and nothing but the truth. They both crept inside the room, looking quite pitiful. That scared me a bit, they looked like they were forecasting my death. "Ok, I've got a bloody nose, a banging headache and a death threat. Somebody better tell me what is happening RIGHT NOW."

"Jeez, calm down Leah, no need for the harshness." Will complained. I shot him daggers of death with my eyes, before balling my fists and turning to Matthew. I cocked my head to the side and he stared at me innocently, as if he didn't have anything to say.

I raised both my eyebrows at him. "WELL?!"

"Arghh!! Ok, so we used to be a part of a gang, not these fake stupid ones that you get nowadays, a serious, real, hard gang. We left that life, we chose to turn clean, but as in other gangs, once you're in, you never leave. So we did a couple of things... things that aren't accepted, and we got ourselves into some deep shit. So now Paul is out to kill us, and anybody linked to us. And I'm guessing he's made that person you. It might sound stupid, but yeah... that's just the way it is. Happy?" Will rushed. He seemed relieved when he finished speaking, his speech awkward.

A frenzy of emotions flew through me. Initially, I wanted to burst out laughing. So I did. I laughed and laughed and laughed until my sides hurt and my eyes watered. All three of them just stared at me, them in awkward silence. Then, I actually started crying. I was literally bawling my eyes out, quite unsure of the reason why. A couple of seconds later, I felt arms wrap around me. I began to heat up in anger and my vision went red, as I began to push the persons arms and punch and punch and punch them, venting out all of my anger, until I couldn't punch any further. Minutes later, I was done with my psycho tantrum, and I just sat in my place, not saying a word. I didn't exactly know what emotions to be feeling so I stayed still and silent. I was never one to want to involve myself in the life of gangs and violence, and now im involuntarily involved. At 17, my life had reached its climax and I didn't know where to go from here.
