The Exiled Princess (sequel to Esther)

Chapter 12

We had planned for a few hours last night. The dragons would send reinforcements to Giant's Keep but would leave enough dragons to defend their home. We had also planned that we'd ask for the fairies help. The dragons would deliver our message to our friends back in Giant's Keep.

"Come on, Es. We have to go." Andrew says coming up behind me. "I know." I say as I shoulder my weapons and my bag. To be honest, I have no idea why I carry my weapons. I don't even get to use them! Seriously. Now I'm not asking for any trouble, just saying.

I follow Andrew outside and we meet up with the others.

We follow Isis and Jenia through the forest. We walk through the forest for hours.

We finally reach the end of Dragon forest. "We have reached the fairies realm." Isis exclaims. We marvel at the beautiful landscape ahead of us. I guess Cordialis has a lot of beautiful places.

"Wow." Sophia breathes out. The land before has beautiful, rich green grass, colorful flowers spread around, and fairies. The fairies aren't like the tinkerbell fairies with different skills.These fairies have pale skin, and powers. They grow plants, take care of animals, and possess the earth powers.

Isis and Jenia approach a fairy. They talk and she nods. They motion for us to join them. "Yeah?" Brandon asks. "Felice here, will bring us to Queen Beatrice. She's the ruler of fairies. Come on." Jenia motions us to follow her.

We follow them while Felice flies low. Felice has red hair, the normal pale skin, a forest green colored dress and flower crown, and matching wings. After sightseeing the fairy valley, we reach the fairy palace. The fairy palace looked like it was made of crystal. Which it is, according to Felice. With the sun's reflection on its walls, it looks like it's a rainbow colored wall.

We entered the palace and we see the queen. We stare, shocked and amazed at her. It's a bit ride, I know, I'n sorry. We couldn't help it. Queen Beatrice is one of the most beautiful women in the world. Her long brown hair reaches her waist. Her bright green eyes sharpen out her features. Her skin is still pale like all other fairies, but she's just beautiful. Her slender figure makes her look younger.

"Hello, there. Felice, who are these travelers?" She asks Felice. "They are travelers from Giant's Keep. They have visited Dragon Lair and are now here to deliver news to us." Felice explains. "Alright then. Follow me everyone." She says as we follow her. "I am Queen Beatrice. Ruler of the fairy realm. I have reined for nearly 2 centuries." She explains. We all gawk at her.

"Two centuries?" Ashley asks. "Yup. I'm guessing you don't know much about us fairies. Well you see, fairies, especially royalty, live long lives. We were created that way. Royalty lives for centuries making sure the realm stays safe. When the ruler or rulers pass on, they choose a new ruler until she dies." Beatrice explains.

"Wow. Cool." I say. I wish I could live that long. And still look like I'm 20. Like Felice and Beatrice.

"Don't worry. No matter how old you get, you'll always look beautiful to me." Andrew says whispering in my ear and taking my hand.

"How'd you know what's on my mind?" I ask. "Well, I know you really well. And your face gives it away." He replies. I laugh and squeeze his hand. We enter a large room with cushions on the floor.

We sit down and we start delivering the news.
