When Altea was destroyed, Lance was only a baby. His father, King Alfor, brought him to Earth with him when he had barely escaped. They took the blue lion there and hid it in the desert. Alfor raised Lance, telling him stories of a wise red headed man and his beautiful kind daughter. He learned the history of Altea and how the war started. He learned about Voltron and how one lion was on Earth with them. His father taught Lance how to make himself look like a human. His markings would be hidden, his ears became rounded, and his hair turned brown. They pretended to be normal. And they pulled it off too.

Unfortunately, Alfor passed away a few years before Lance got into the Garrison. He was put in as a cargo pilot but managed to go up a class after one student got kicked out. Lance was eager to get to space to see if the Galra were near Earth. But because he was at the Garrison, he couldn't keep an eye on Blue and make sure nobody found her. That was his first mistake.

When Pidge mentioned alien frequencies and Voltron, Lance's blood went cold.

When Shiro mentioned the Galra were looking for Voltron, he began to panic.

When they were at Keith's shack in the desert he noticed everything on his conspiracy board and connected them in his mind. Blue was hidden so only the paladin or an Altean can get to her. Keith probably only found the cave but not the actual lion. That wasn't good.

When they arrived, Lance touched one of the markings. They all fell into a hole and landed in the cave Blue was in. He would have not let them in or went in himself but if the Galra are closing in, they're going to need Voltron. When Blue let Lance in, he played dumb and made stupid comments so the others wouldn't suspect anything. Blue purred in his head and he smirked. They were going home.

When they landed at the castle, Lance stood in awe. This is the castle his father spoke of. It's a shame he couldn't see it one last time.

When Allura and Coran came out of the pods, Lance was in shock. He didn't know they survived. It hurt when Allura called out for their father. He didn't know why but he decided not to tell them who he was.

Lance was in his room and was supposed to be at breakfast five minutes ago. His ears were slightly pointed. Not enough for anyone to notice, but he did. His father told him that when he turns eighteen, he will look full Altean for a while day and can't do anything about it. Then he will have gained his powers too. His birthday must be coming up then.

Lance left his room and put on his usual smirk. "Sorry guys, this beautiful face doesn't come without work."

They all groaned and continued talking.

A few days later, Lance looked in the mirror and saw turquoise markings under his eyes, white hair, pointed ears, and his eyes were more vibrant than usual. On the brightside, it's hid birthday. On the downside, he can't leave his room for the whole day.

It had already been a few hours and the team had just showed up at Lance's door. He's not as dumb as he lets on. Lance is actually pretty smart and it helps that he can understand Altean. He managed to lock his door so not even Allura or Coran can get in.

"Lance! You've been in there all day! Come out do we can train," Pidge said.

"Nope! Sorry guys, I'm uh taking a spa day today," he responded, thinking of some lame excuse.

"Hey, isn't it your birthday today?" Hunk asked.

Quiznak. "Um, yeah. That's why I'm taking a spa day!"

"Lance this isn't the time for this kind of thing," Allura said, annoyed.

"Allura's right. What if the Galra attacked?" Shiro agreed.
