Victoria avoided the gaze of Harry as she walked into dinner the next day, she could feel her face all the way up to ears was hot, her cheeks covered with a red blush as she caught the green eyes looking at her. Victoria sat next to Draco and grabbed only a goblet, filling it with coffee and taking a large drink, not bothering to check for how hot it was.

"Why is Potter looking at you like that?" Draco asked, his gray eyes glaring at the chosen boy across the room.

"Oo maybe it's go something to do with the fact that she didn't come back to the dorm until early this morning!" Pansy Parkinson said from across them, a smug grin on her pug-like face. Victoria glared at the girl with all her might, hoping that the hatred would turn her into a pug. Sadly that didn't happen.

The entire Slytherin table erupted in whispers, Blaise Zabini the first to actually speak to her about it.

"Are you sleeping with Potter?" Following that many other resentment filled shouts filled the table, yelling at her for being a disgrace to the Slytherin house for sleeping with a Gryffindor, and of all people Harry Potter.

"I'm not sleeping with Harry you dimwits!" She yelled over the noise, slamming her hands on the table to get their attention. The entire hall filled with silence as the whole of the room stared at her. She once again felt a red hot blush cover her face. She took a deep breath and made sure to lower her voice.

"I'm not. Sleeping. With Harry." She grabbed her coffee and chugged it before leaving the great hall, hundreds of eyes trained on her as she left. It was going to be a long day. She sighed, walking quickly down the corridors and towards the outside. This was the first time she had ever had the urge to smoke again so quickly.

"Victoria!" Skye's voice echoed through the large walls of the corridor, her loud footsteps echoing off the walls as she ran. Victoria took a deep breath and turned to her best friend, her blonde hair flicking behind her as she did so.

"Are you here to get me kicked out of something else?" Victoria was tired, all the hard work she'd ever done to show other people that she wasn't evil or a death eater had gone down the drain because Skye didn't like Draco Malfoy.

"No. And i'm sorry for doing that. I really am, I didn't think he'd kick you out." Victoria could hear the obvious sincerity in Skye's voice.

"I know you didn't. And I know you don't like him, but please don't pull a stunt like that again."

"So your not mad?"

"I guess, don't expect me not to make snarky comments for the next few months though." Skye laughed at Victoria's comment, beforing looking down the corridor towards where Victoria was headed.

"So where are we going?" Victoria flushed before thinking for a second.

"Ha just for a walk..." She lied, sending Skye a charming smile to make sure she believed her.

"Can I come along?" Skye asked timidly, who was dying to ask someone for advice on a certain red headed twin. Victoria groaned inwardly, before smiling widely at her best friend.

"Of course you can! Why wouldn't you be able to?" Because I need a smoke that's why. Though she was thankful that the more she distracted herself the need to smoke slowly went away. They started walking in silence, enjoying the sound of birds and the chill in the air.

"Okay, so I overheard the twins talking last night." Skye was hesitant to tell Victoria about the incident.

"Talking about what...?"

"About a girl. They never said a name." Skye looked down as another pang hit her chest. "Fred has a crush and I want to find out who it is." Skye said giving Victoria a forced smile.

"Ok so Fred has a crush and you wanna know why you feel like shit about it." Skye was in awe of how perceptive her best friend was, sometimes she even thought she was psychic.

"How did you know?!"

"I've told you before and i'll tell you again, i'm psychic." Flashes of her recent dreams appeared, so many people dying, she shook it off and turned back to Skye "Anyway. Fill me in on everything."

"So recently everytime I think about Fred with any girl I get really upset. I've never thought of him as anything other than a friend though." Skye explains.

"Like a pang in your chest?"

"Exactly. It feels like a there is a hole in my heart."

"Well, Skye, sweetie. If it's not obvious enough by now I guess i'll have to spoon feed you the answers, just like charms." Victoria murmured the last part, thinking back to the all the times where she had to give Skye the answer to the charms papers.

"Shut up and tell me!" Victoria turned to Skye, her green eyes connecting with Skye's blue ones.

"You like him."
