blake sighed as she looked in her mirror, she stared at her pale skin and her pink hair that was shoulder length. her hair colour had been fading but she didn't mind, it looked nice on her. she felt it made her look pretty, she liked the feeling of that. she always wanted to be beautiful, like the models on telly. the ones who walked down the runway so elegantly, but little did blake know was that she was fine the way she was. she wasn't ugly.

she started toward her window, pulling a chair in front of it as she sat on it. she pushed the window up letting the summer breeze hit her face lightly, her head rested on her hand whilst watching people pass by apartment buildings, stores, and parked cars. she watched two kids across the street play around with a big blue ball, bouncing it, passing it to each other every second.

she can hear dishes being moved around downstairs in the kitchen. her mother must've woke up already. it was only eleven in the morning, it was bright outside. the sun shined down on her, making blake squint her eyes. a yawned slipped from her mouth, she got up from the chair she sat on making her way downstairs to her sister, avery, sitting on the couch lazily watching tv - her mum was in the kitchen snatching ingredients from the cabinents, then placing them on the marbled counters.

avery soon acknowledged blake's presence, she whipped her head to face her old sister. "good morning, blake." she held her hand up, giving her sister a small simple wave. blake faked a smile waving back to her younger sibling. avery was fourteen years young, blake was nineteen.

"blake, would you be a sweetheart and go to the market for me?" blake's mum asks, still squirming around in the kitchen. "i need a few things."

nodding, blake enters the kitchen waiting as her mother writes down a list of items needed on a piece of paper. soon enough blake is out of the house headed to the market.

the weather outside was bright, it was beautiful outside. the trees began to grow small little flowers at the end of the branches, grass also started to peak out from the cracks in the pavement. the sky was blue, the clouds moved on and on. the heat outside had been very fair, it wasn't too hot, it was just right. it made blake calm. people walked passed her on the sidewalk but they most likely bumped into her without apologizing, that started to tick her off. her eyebrows knitted together whilst her mouth composed a big frown, she looked miserable.

it wasn't long until blake stood in front of the market that has been crowded with people. she let out a loud huff, walking into the store. her eyes directed to the list that she clenched in her right hand, she read it in order before grabbing a cart and making her way to get the items needed for her mum. she quickly got all the things that her mother was in need of except for one thing. blake basically wondered around the who entire market looking for one of the sauce that was written on the yellow post-it paper.

rolling her blue boring eyes, blake strutted toward an employee worker.

she tapped on her shoulder, making the blonde female turn to face her. she started at her curiously, "can i help you with something?" he asks.

blake nods, letting out a dull sigh. quickly, she shows her the list filled with words. the woman smiles giving her the directions to an aisle to find the exact item that was wanted. after blake gives her a polite smile she makes her way to the aisle going on a hunt. it wasn't long until she found the bottle on one of the shelves that were filled with different types of sauces. successfully, she throws the bottle into the cart.

as blake went to turn the cart around with her, she almost runs into a young male. he looked to be about her age, he had blonde hair and he seemed to be frightened. a blush crept upon blake's cheeks in embarrassment, "i'm sorry" she muttered looking down at the cart.

"hey, it's no big deal." he smiles a large charming smile.

he was very good looking, he did look familiar though. blake remembered seeing him on her block or something, she definitely saw him somewhere before, but for some reason she couldn't put a finger on it. she soon shrugged it off before nodding, and forcing a smile upon her lips.

"you seem very familiar, do i know you from somewhere?" he asks.

now blake wishes she never ran into him, she only said she was sorry. she didn't want to start a conversation with this guy, she didn't even care anymore that she did most likely to see him somewhere. she just wanted to get home, give her mom the groceries, then lay down in her bedroom read a small novel on her tablet.

blake shrugs, not really caring.

"wait, i have! isn't your mom the store owner of that bouquet place?" he says, pointing at me dramatically. "i think i saw you there when you were helping your mom out, doesn't that ring a bell?"

it didn't really matter to blake; woah, big deal he saw her. why is it such an excitement?

she hummed a 'mhm', before tilting her head to the side waiting for him to end this conversation or whatever it was with a goodbye. blake didn't want to talk about it anymore, he began to grow boring.

"my name is niall by the way, what's yours?" niall's smiled only grew bigger.

why was this boy talking to blake? couldn't he understand that she just wanted to leave and go home, she never mean't to almost run him down with a cart. she never mean't to but of course it had to happen, now he's in this mood to talk to her. all she want to do is leave.

"you don't talk much do you?" niall's smile starts to deform into a small frown.

"i'm blake." blake spoke, "and i have to go now."
