"blake!"

blake's eyes snapped open making her jump up, her mum called her name out for the third time already. today her mum wanted blake and avery to help her out with customers at her bouquet store, of course, blake never wanted to do anything unless it involved her reading or enjoying music.

seconds later, avery walks into blake's bedroom shaking her older sister repeatedly to wake her up completely. "c'mon, blake. you promise mummy and i that you'd help out today!" avery begins to pout, still shaking her grumpy older sister. blake let out a loud groan finally sitting up, then literally throwing herself off the bed. she points to the open door which avery nods leaving her room, closing the door behind her tail.

her eyes searched around her room looking for her mp3 player. she wanted to listen to music whilst getting dressed, soon enough she found the object laid down on her end table. plugging in the mp3 player, she adjusted the volume as high as it can be. the music blared, blake's lips turned upward into a satisfied smile.

clothes. blake thought to herself, what would she wear.

blake dug through her already messy wardrobe, looking for a decent shirt to wear. it didn't take her long until she found a dull plain white tee shirt, then threw it over her hair. she then decided to just wear her favourite cargo pants, she didn't mind how she looked, she was only helping her mum out today. there was no reason for anything so fancy smancy, there was no one to impress. after finishing her outfit off with converses, she brushed her knotty pink fading hair soon pulling it into a sem-neat ponytail.

sighing, blake jogged down the stairs where her sibling and mother were waiting for her.

"already, let's go." blake's mum - myra says, walking out the flat.

"blake, if anybody walks into the stores and looks as if they're having trouble, help them please." blake's mother begs her, putting her small hand on her daughter's shoulder. "okay?"

nodding, blake sits in a chair near the window as she waits for costumers.

today she was only staying half the day, blake wasn't going to stay here the whole day it'd only cause her to get grumpy and uptight. she was not in such a good mood anyways. leaving her mp3 player at her flat pissed her off, while she waiting for people to come in the store there was nothing to keep her occupied. instead of watering some of the plants that needed to be watered, she played with the teared skin right below her finger nails.

if blake had a choice in doing things she'd say no to her mum when she was asked to do things for her, but no wasn't an answer. they had to do what they were told. her father wasn't home, he was in the military and it's one of the reasons blake is so quiet and boring, she misses him greatly. avery and blake had to help their mother out with almost everything, it helped them increase on money for the house until her dad came back.

as she looked out the window, there was nothing special happening. people passed by so did cars, pigeons, and two squirrels.

customers walked in and put of the store, every time someone different came in there'd be a -- ding -- from the bell above the door. blake didn't bother to do what her mum said, she was too tired and felt down like always. her eyes wondered around the room, there were two impatient customers at the register, but no one was attending it. blake jumped out of the seat she sat in to quickly attend to the unhappy people.

it took a few minutes until she finished helping them out, she stood at her post resting her head in her hand, her eyes soon closing. ding. she ignored the door opening. it didn't matter to her.

"good morning." a familiar voice said.

blake whipped her head up to the person she had only saw a few days ago. niall was his name?

a smile was forced on blake's face, she glanced at him waiting for him to tell her what he wanted but he just stood there smiling at her.

"what?" she muttered loud enough for niall to hear her.

he shrugged, "nothing, just wanted to buy my mum some flowers." grabbed a random bouquet of flowers off the shelf without eyeing them, the flowers were gigantic and big, there was a lot of them.

he's weird. blake thought to herself, smiling a little. but i guess that's alright.

after all, blake was weird herself.

"you buy your mother a lot of flowers." blake stares at him giving him a crooked smile.

niall shrugs, "yeah, i guess i do." out of the blue the flowers that were in his hands are now in blake's feminine hands, she looks at them confusingly. "so here, have some flowers, babe."

was he flirting with me? blake thought to herself silently, why was he doing this? he needed to understand that she was anything but special, niall winked at blake still staring at her smiling wildly. there wasn't much blake could do but force a smile on her lips, she didn't wanna be mean but it bothered her greatly. a guy had never done this before. yes, of course blake was flattered but she was still confused.

blake pushed the bouquet of flowers back on the shelf he swiped them off of; "okay." she murmured.

it grew silent and the tension become very awkward. both their eyes scan the entire room before landing back on each other's. blake felt insanely uncomfortable, why was he still here? niall notices the look on her face and frowns, "i'll go now." he turns around shifting toward the front door, then leaving.

blake is grateful that he left before her mum came into the room. her mother walked in from the door in the back room with a whole lot of boxes that had sloppy words on them, blake caught a glimpse of what one of the boxes were and they were all decorations to put around the shop. the bouquet shop wasn't perfect, but it was fine the way it was. there was no reason for switching it up.

this was one thing blake hated; her mum would over exaggerate, trying to perfect everything to attract more customers. like always, the complete opposite happened. hardly anybody came to their store, only a few people but it depended on what day it was. for example, if it was christmas or easter they'd have a crowd of people entering their store grabbing flowers, paying for them, then quickly running out. it was messy on those days.

a sigh left blake's soft pink lips as she noticed what a long day it would be for her, all she wanted to do was lock herself up in her room all alone, she'd be much happier than she was now. it felt like all day she was going to be there, and that bothered her greatly.

a/n; hey. okay well, here you go. ummmmmmm, i hope you enjoy this chapter. it wasn't as good but it was good enough i hope. isn't niall cute. okay, be to vote, comment, and give me a follow. it helps me out a lot. thank you . :) x
