the soothing music played in blake's ear as she sat at the park bench, her eyes were closed slightly. it's only been a day since niall was suppose to take blake out, when blake told her mother, she felt horrible for blake. it was suppose to be her first date and she got stood up; she was still sad about it. every time she thought about it, she felt useless. what did she do? did niall lose interest in her? what was wrong?
a sigh left blake's lips as she changed the song that was playing to a different one. she hummed to the familiar tune. kids were playing on the swings and running around like they always would be.
there was a girl on the slide, she looked like she was around the age group of ten or twelve. blake watched as the little girl sat on the slide, staring down at her shoes. she wondered what the girl was thinking about, she wondered what was wrong with her. why wasn't see running around like the other kids and having fun?
curiosity took over blake, she stood up from the bench she sat at, taking her earphones out and walking up to the sad girl.
the little girl looked up at blake, "hi." she muttered out.
blake sat down in the empty space right beside the small girl, "hi, what's wrong?"
the little girl shook her head, fiddling with her small hands. she looked at blake, "who are you?"
"i'm blake," blake smiled at the girl she just met, "now tell me, what's wrong?"
"i'm anna, and i have no friends. none of the kids like me." anna lowered her head.
she reminded blake of avery. avery didn't have much friends herself; blake remembered the day where avery came up to her and told her how kids at her school disliked her. it was summer school and they were messing around with avery; some kids are just so heartless and rude. blake understood where anna was coming from because she had gone through it all before.
when blake use to go to school, people treated her horribly. they made fun of her pink hair, they called her a loser because she didn't have any friends. it's the reason why she disliked being around people until niall, niall made her want to escape her house more. but now she was angry at him, she didn't want to even talk to him.
"don't worry anna, things'll get better believe it or not. one day you'll find someone who'll be willing to be your friend, they'll adore you and make you feel great about yourself. they'll make you smile, laugh and happier each day. you'll see. first, you need to do is stop looking so down." blake smiled, rubbing anna's back in small circles.

"mum, are you sure you want me to leave now?" niall asked, rubbing his mothers hands.
"yes niall, it's fine. go on, i need some sleep, anyways." his mother closed her eyes, smiling lazily.
the doctors had just given her medication and it was known to make her very sleepy. it's been only a few minutes and she was already tired, begging niall to leave so she could sleep.
niall nodded, "i'll see you tomorrow morning, mum."
he started his way out of the room, signing his name in the book in front before leaving. niall didn't know what to do. one thing he needed to do was talk to blake about last night, he wondered what she was thinking of him. he didn't want her to think negatively of him. niall really liked blake, he wanted to know her more and take her on an actual date. this time he'd be there to pick her up, he'd bring her wherever she wanted to go. hell, they can just drive around and do completely nothing, all niall wanted to do was be with blake.
there was one thing niall could do, he could go to blake's house and talk to her. he could explain everything to her. he'd have to tell her about his mother sooner or later; he rather it be sooner.
