Heartbreaking news

James POV:
'James. James baby. Wake up' I hear a voice say.
I open my eyes and see Riley.
'What? Whats happening?'
'I brought you a coffe'
I sit up on the chair and take it from her.
'Thanks'
She sits on my lap.
Ive been here for days. Mom isnt getting any better. In fact shes getting worse.
I put my arm around Riley.
'You really need to get some proper rest James' Riley says.
'I cant leave her here alone'
'Shes in good hands. Shes going to be fine'
'I cant go'
She sighs.
We both look at her sleeping.
'Riley what if she doesnt get better? What if she...'
'Dont say that James. Shes not going to die'
'The doctor said her heart is failing!'
She puts her head down.
'I-Im sorry'
'Its fine'
'Um...hows Dylan and Ash?'
'Their good. Their missing their daddy though'
I smile weakly.
The doctor walks in.
We stand up.
'Um...Mr Torjman? Could I speak to you alone please?' he asks.
I nod.
'Ill be back in a sec' I tell Riley leaving the room.
'Tests has come back and its not good. The results are bad'
'How bad?'
He stays silent.
'How bad are they?'
'Um...'
'I have the right to know! Im her son! Now tell me!'
'Im sorry to tell you this but...shes not going to make it. Shes going to die'
At that moment the world just stops. I cant believe what Im hearing.
'She has a few days left. Im sorry' he says walking off.
Riley comes out of the room.
'James? What did he say?'
I look at her with tears rolling down my cheek.
'NO! GOD NO! OH MY GOD JAMES!' she crys hugging me.
I wrap my arms tightly around her as she cries into my chest.
'James Im so sorry'
I pull away and look at her.
'I-I just need to spend some time alone with her. Could you not tell anyone? I want to tell them myself'
She nods.
'Of course. But what about Piper. Shes at internationals. She needs to know'
'I know. Ill figure it out'
She nods and kisses me.
I wipe a stray tear away from her cheek with my thumb.
I then walk back into her room.
Shes dying.
My moms dying.
Rileys POV:
I cant believe it.
Deboradh is going to die.
Now what do we do.
