About Time!

A few months on:
James POV:
Its been a few months since mom died. I guess you could say its different without her. Its strange not going over to see her now. But if there's one thing that I'm greatfull for, its that my children got to meet her and spend their first birthday with her. Thats something truly speacial and something Ill never forget, even though I know the twins will never remember. As for me mentally...well...its hard. Everything is so much harder. Recently Ive been having alot of nightmares and flashbacks to all the horrible stuff thats happened to me and Riley. I haven't slept properly in a week. But I havent told Riley this. She'd only worry too much. Riley walks into the kitchen where Im making breakfast. She wraps her arms around my waist.
'Mmmmm. Baby this looks and smells amazing' she says
'Hopefully it tastes as good as it looks and smells' I smile dishing it up for her. 
We both sit down and eat.
'Guess what'
'What?' I ask
'Emily is almost at her due date! In fact Im sure she's gone past it actually'
'Thats great. Looks like you'll be an auntie soon' I smile.
'Yes! But there is no way Ill be changing nappies. I have 2 babies to do that to! I dont need another one!'
I laugh.
'Oh Riles. You're so funny' 
She smiles.
'I love it when you call me that'
I smile at her.
'I really really want to kiss you right now' I say to her.
'What's stopping you?'
'Im eating. And so are you'
She stands up and walks over and sits on my lap.
'Just kiss me you handsom idiot' she smiles as she attaches her lips onto mine.
'You think Im handsome?'
'Yes. But I also think you can be an idiot sometimes' 
I smile and start to tickle her. 
she squirms about.
'James stop! Oh my Gosh! Stop it!' she says as she laughs.
I laugh and stop.
'I love you so much. You know that right?' I say to her as I tuck a strand of hair behind her ear.
'Yeah baby. I know. And I love you too. So so so much'
I smile and kiss her. We lightly make out for a few minutes. Riley's phone rings. She ignores it. It keeps ringing.
'You should get that'
She moans and picks it up.
'Oh. Its Charlie'
She answers it.
'OMG! IM ON MY WAY!'
She hangs up.
'What is it?'
'Emily is in labour!'
'I'll drive. Where is she?'
'At home. She had no time to get to the hospital. That baby is coming right now'
I run into the sitting room where Alfie is playing with the twins.
'Emily has gone into labour. Can you look after the twins for a while?'
'Of course! No need to hurry back. I've got this'
I nod and we run out the door and get into the car and drive to Emily's.
Riley's POV:
I burst into the house.
'Where is she?!'
'Upstairs in bed!' Piper says.
Piper stayed the night with them.
I run up stairs and see her in pain on the bed.
'Hey Em! I'm here!'
'Riley! Thank god your here!' She says taking my hand.
'How are you doing?'
'It hurts! I dont know what to do!'
'Okay. Just keep taking deep breaths. Have you called your midwife?'
'Yes. She'll be here in a few minutes'
'Okay. Until she comes I'm going to monitor your contractions and time them and try and make you feel comfortable okay?'
She nods.
I time them and then the midwife arrives. She takes over and helps Emily.
10 mins later:
'Okay Emily your going to have to push now' the midwife tells her.
Emily puts in all her strength and pushes and a few minutes later the room fills with  tiny cries.
Emily is handed her daughter.
We all smile. James wraps his arms around me and rests his chin on my shoulder.
'Well done at helping her' he whispers into my ear.
I smile as he kisses my cheek.
'Have you thought of a name?' I ask my sister.
She smiles and looks at Charlie and then at me and James.
'We were thinking of calling her Deborah...after her granny'
I look at James who has a small smile on his face.
'We can change it if you like?' She says to him.
'No. It's perfect. I love it. And I'm sure she would too'
She smiles.
'Deboradh it is then!'
She smiles up and Charlie who bends down and kisses her.
'Its about time she came along! I was a week over my due date! I was getting very impatient!'
We all laugh.
