"Olivia Parker and Luke Hemmings."
Those words were the ones that smashed my world into a heap.
"W-Wait, there's a mistake," I begged. "I am not with him."
The class snickered. Including the ignorant little blonde behind me. I wanted to flick him in the eye.
"No, no mistake. You're partners." Ms. Mateo said. I panicked.
"Anyone up for switching?" I said, looking around the room.
"No switching either, Miss Parker. If there is an issue, you can see me about it." Ms. Mateo said again.
There was a hard tap on my shoulder. I spun around and saw the Luke Hemmings, the rude, snooty, annoying boy that had always hated me. We spent as little time in the same room as possible. And now he was my partner for the science project due at the end of next month.
"Looks like we'll be spending a lot of time together, princess."
Kill me now.
