Sky's POV
"Nick..buddy... Quit drooling over Bre and come on." I snickered. That boy...he'd been pining for Bre for years. "What?! I was not drooling over her." Nick exclaimed exasperated. I ignored him and continued walking toward the tennis shoes.
"Dude, that looks like something you'd wear." I laughed, pointing to the ugliest shirt I'd ever seen. It was a yellow and pink pineapple Hawaiian shirt. It looked like something my Uncle Jim would wear. "Funny." Nick glared at me. I gave him a big cheesy grin and continued searching the shelves.
"It's so annoying how I come home to see me best friend, and she hangs out with Bacon Boy." I don't know if I'd ever seen Nick this annoyed before. No wait, yes I had. There was this one time...
We had shared a hotel room in one of the cities we toured. One night, Jeff Heimbrock and I stole his clothes while he was in the shower. I still had the picture. Classic... I smiled to myself, reliving that glorious moment.
"Sky. Did you not just hear what I said?!" Nick frowned. "Huh? Oh yeah, uh, super annoying." I shook my head in annoyance. Nick was so uptight. "Well..?" Nick pried. "I don't want a part in this. You and your girlfriend can just leave me out of it." I put my hands up in defense.
Apparently I shouldn't have said that. Nick's face got all red as he seethed with anger. "Bro, chill. I'm sorry." I raised my eyebrows. He just groaned loudly and sat down on a bench. "Sorry. I know I'm being an idiot." He sighed.
"Yep." I nodded in agreement, earning me another dirty look. "Is it that obvious I like her?" He asked. "Hmm...let me think about it." I tapped my chin, pretending to be thoughtful. "Yeah I'd say so." I shrugged.
Nick glared at me again. "Yo, I'm bored. Can we go back? Joshy is more fun than you." I started to head toward the door, but I tripped over the leg of the bench. I accidentally knocked over like, five pairs of shoes on display.
I started laughing so hard. Not just at my fall, but at Nick's horrified face. "Sky! Look what you've done!" Nick exclaimed. "Thank you, Captain Obvious." I laughed at my own joke, but snorted which made me laugh even harder.
"I can't breathe!" I gasped. I was laughing so hard I wasn't even making any noise. I was just doing that dumb seal clap thing. Nick just stood there with an unimpressed look on his face, while I rolled around on the ground trying to stop laughing.
A cute employee walked by just as I accidentally ripped one. The horrified look on her face was enough to make my face turn as red as my hair. I laughed awkwardly and smiled at her.
"You done yet?" Nick asked, crossing his arms and tapping his foot impatiently. I slowly got up, still chuckling, and started toward the door again. Nick followed closely behind.
Bre's POV
I went to breathe in y'know, like normal breathing? But my airway tightened and I choked. I went into a coughing and wheezing fit.
It scared me, but I didn't know what to do. It had been a while since I'd had a problem breathing. "Bre, are you ok?" Josh looked worriedly at me. 'Obviously not', I thought, inwardly rolling my eyes.
"I have asthma." I choked out, and continued coughing. I did have asthma, but that wasn't the only reason this was happening. I didn't want to worry him, but I needed help and it wasn't going away.
