Mama B's POV

My baby was discharged soon after I got there. Word had come that Nick was in the hospital, so I had come as soon as possible. When I got there, I found Josh lying on the floor by the vending machine.

"Too much bacon, sweetie?" I asked. (This happened to him often). "No." He pouted, "Bre attacked me." I rolled my eyes. Josh was such a drama queen.

When we got back to the hotel, I took my own sweet time walking down the corridor to the room I shared with Andrew Keenan-Bolger. I was about halfway there, when I saw Bre and Ben come in from the other end of the hallway.

I jumped to the side, hoping they wouldn't see me. They didn't, so I peeked out to spy on them. They were my babies and I didn't want them keeping secrets from me. They stopped in the doorway of Ben's hotel room, and started talking.

"Bre, can I ask you a question?" Ben asked. Oh boy, this was going to be good. "Um, yeah sure." She smiled. "Do you...do you like Nick?" Ben bit his lip, probably wishing he could take that question back. Although judging by the look on Bre's face, she didn't mind him asking.

She started laughing her head off. "No, Nick is practically my brother!" Oh man, she was hysterical. Poor Nick though; I was glad he wasn't around to hear that. I think Ben was kind of thinking the same thing, because he looked a little worried.

"Out of sheer curiosity though, why do you ask?" She questioned. "Well, I kinda figured you liked him because you've known each other forever." Ben awkwardly stated. "But that doesn't make any sense as to why you'd care." Uh oh; she was started to get upset.

Ben's POV

Oh great, she was getting annoyed with me. What now? Should I tell her I'd developed feelings for her in a week? Would that be weird? I should just go for it. "I-" I started. Maybe I couldn't go through with this. I wish I was anywhere but here right now...

"Spit it out." She put her hands on her hips and pursed her lips. She looked so adorable when she tried to act tough. "I wanted to make sure I didn't have any competition." I winked and walked away. I was such a wimp; I couldn't even tell her full out why I'd asked.

"Uh! Ben!" She called after me, running to catch up. I squeezed my eyes shut for a second, hoping she'd go away. She obviously didn't, but it was worth a shot. "What is that supposed to mean?!" She sounded as though she would die if I didn't tell her this very minute.

I, however, just kept walking down the hall looking straight forward while she flounced along right beside me.

I couldn't believe I actually walked away from her. Like, that had to be the worst way to get a girl. I mentally smacked myself in the face for being so dumb. I guess I was just afraid she wouldn't like me back. As scary as it may be, it was a possibility; and I didn't like that.

Sure, a bunch of fans were obsessed with me and would give anything to be my girlfriend. But Bre wasn't a crazy fansie; she was different. She didn't look at me as a Broadway actor with whom she was obsessed with. She looked at me as Ben Cook; just a regular guy who wanted a regular girlfriend.

"Beeeeeeen." She whined. Okay, that's it. I can't stand this anymore. I abruptly stopped and turned towards her. "I like you."
