Ben's POV

"Finally!" Sky jumped up from his seat and ran to the counter to order. "I'm sorry, the traffic was terrible." I lied. "No it wasn't. I literally got here five minutes ago." Someone said.

I searched for the person who dared defy me, and my eyes fell upon a girl I'd never seen before. "Hey, Mr. No Name Kid. Maybe you could take a picture; it'll last longer." Her angelic voice brought me back to the present. "Did you just quote Fight For Me from Heathers?" I asked, startled.

"Who's asking?" She asked sassily. "Ben. Ben Cook." I gave her an amused smile. She raised an eyebrow. "Ok." And with that, she got up and went to order another coffee, seeing as she already finished her first cup.

I give Nick a bewildered look. "Is that the girl you can't stop talking about?" I asked, my jaw dropping. Nick nodded, trying to smother his laughter. "Close your mouth. Don't wanna catch flies, do you?" She scoffed, sitting back down.

"Here Ben, sit by me." Josh pointed to the empty seat next to him. That empty seat also happened to be by the girl. "Uh, ok." I awkwardly sat in between them. "So, um, I didn't catch your name." I turned to her. "I didn't throw it." She retorted, smirking at me.

My eyes narrowed. Never had anyone before annoyed me this much. "That's Bre." Josh whispered. "Bre, huh?" I smiled pleasantly at her. "Josh..." She growled, glaring at him. "Sorry!" He put his hands up defensively.

Bre... It was a pretty name. I decide text Josh, because it seemed I couldn't say anything without that girl being sarcastic.

Ben: Something about this girl intrigues me, and it makes me mad.

Josh: ???

Ben: She's annoying, rude, sarcastic, seemingly intelligent, funny, pretty...

Josh: That doesn't sound like a problem. That sounds like an opportunity 😉

I glared at Josh, but he just gave me that 'you know I'm right' face. I rolled my eyes. I did know he was right, but I wasn't ready to admit it out loud.

Bre's POV

I can't believe I just sassed the Ben Cook... I was afraid I'd made him angry at first, but he just looked amused if anything. I was proud of myself for pretending not to know who he was.

Truth is, I'd had a celebrity crush on Ben since forever. I then remembered that I followed all these guys on Instagram, so I quickly got on my account and unfollowed Nico, Mike, Jack, and Ben.

That would've been so awkward if the had went to follow me, and saw I was already following them. Then they'd know I was a crazy fansie. I also had to delete my four fan accounts on Instagram.

Phew. That could've been messy. "So, Bre. How do you know Nick?" Ben asked me. "We grew up together." I answered nonchalantly. He nodded, appearing to be deep in thought.

"So you're into Broadway musicals, yeah?" He kept trying to talk to me, and my heart could barely handle his adorableness. "Yeah, how'd you know?" I asked, confused on what had clued him in.

"Well, first off, one of the first things you said to me, was a quote from a Broadway musical. And second, you're best friend's a newsie. How can you not be into them?" He shrugged. Wow, he was really observant.

I just nodded my head in response. It was getting harder and harder to stow my inner fangirl. "How old are you?" He asked. "I'll be 20 next week." I answered stiffly. I felt someone bump my leg, and I turned to see Nick looking worried.

"You ok?" He whispered. "Uh, not really." I admitted. "What's wrong?" He asked. "I'm going to have a heart attack." I nervously laughed. "What?!" He questioned, his eyes widening. "Major. Fangirl. Moment." I choked out. He just laughed at me and turned back to his conversation with Mike.

I kicked Sky from under the table and mouthed 'help'. He was sitting right across from me. I felt my phone vibrate a second later.

Sky: What's wrong?

Bre: You can't tell anyone, but I'm a die hard fansie. I'm freaking out. I'M TALKING TO BEN TYLER COOK

Sky: 😂😂😂 Suck it up, buttercup

And with that, he too, left me to suffer.
