Nick's POV
Once I was back in my hotel, I waited for Josh outside his room. "Nick! What're you still doing up." He asked startled. "Josh, how could you do this to me? You know I have feelings for Bre!" I looked at him, showing the hurt on my face.
"Nick, listen. I walked her home so I could make sure she didn't have feelings for me. I didn't want to lead her on if she did. I don't like her, she doesn't like me. It's ok." He explained before I could complain anymore.
"Oh, ok. Good talk, Josh." I clapped him on the back and headed to my room. I sighed once I closed the door. I would try and trust them both, but I knew she would probably like Josh over me any day.
Bre's POV
At about 9am, my phone rang. "Hello?" I answered in my groggy morning voice. "Hey Bre!" Josh's cheery voice came through the receiver. "Hi Josh. What's up?" I asked, trying to sound awake.
"The guys and I are getting together for brunch at Starbucks. You in?" He asked. "Yeah sure. What time?" I asked. "Eh. 10:30?" He answered. "Ok. Well, bye!" I hung up. I jumped out of bed and went to search my closet. Ugh all my sweats were dirty.
Why not dress up a little today? I normally dress like a bum, so what harm can it do? I grabbed a pair of jeans and a light blue sparkly shirt. I ran down the stairs and pulled on my black converse.
"Morning sleepyhead." I ruffled Julia's hair as she rubbed her eyes. "Morning." She smiled. "I'm just off then meet some friends." I kissed her forehead. She wrinkled her little nose and wiped off my kiss.
"Bye sweetie." I hugged her then headed out the door. The drive to Starbucks was only about five minutes, but I still played the Newsies soundtrack. My favorite music.
Nothing was better than Newsies. And how amazing was it that some of my best friends were in it?! I was literally the luckiest girl alive.
* * *
"Hey losers." I called out once I saw them. I received a ton of eye rolls and grunts, and I just laughed at them. "Hey Bre, this is Nico Dejesus, Jack Sippel, and Mike Dameski." Nick introduced me to the three new boys.
I already knew who they were. I was an awkward die hard fansie, but they didn't need to know that. "Have you ordered yet?" I asked. "No, we're waiting on someone else." Sky rolled his eyes. "Oh, ok." I smiled, then took my seat next to Nick.
On the other side of me, was an empty seat. Presumably for the mysterious late person. I wondered who it was, but I was too awkward to ask. I guess I'd just have to wait and see...and I was not a patient person.
"Guys, I know we're waiting for someone and all, but I need my coffee." I stood up and headed to the counter. I ordered a caramel latte and waited for my drink. It could not come fast enough.
"Bre can't function in the morning without her coffee." Nick chuckled. "I heard that." I glared at him. "I wasn't trying to be quiet." He stuck his tongue out. I rolled my eyes. What an immature child. He was an adult, yet he still acted like this.
My order was called and I grabbed it. Now I was happy. Coffee was amazing, and I couldn't live without it. "Bre's not Bre without her coffee." Josh snickered. I laughed and gave him a shove. He spoke the truth.
"Ugh where is he?" Sky whined. "He said he'd be here in five minutes, and he said that ten minutes ago!" Jack threw his hands up in disgust. Nick just shrugged. Ugh. I was hungry. I wanted my breakfast and a second cup of coffee, but no. I have to wait on some random dude.
"Hey guys, I'm so sorry I'm late." A voice called from a few feet away.
