Not that I mind

Right now, I'm sitting in a park where a bunch of teenagers are playing different awkward songs. They started it with 'My milkshake', 'Who let the dogs out', and Gangnam Style.
They even did the Harlem Shake.

I know, I like them too now.

I'm taking slow strides, enjoying the view. The sky is cloudy, indicating a welcomed arrival of rain. The cool breeze is overwhelming and quite refreshing. I take a deep breath and notice an old couple sitting on a nearby bench. They look like they're in their late sixties. But the way they look at each other is just... sweet. Their affection for each other, it is visible in their eyes. The woman is shaking her head while the man is laughing happily.

Growing old with each other; just beautiful.

I walk towards a tree to the opposite of which the teens are playing music and dancing creepily. I smile at them, they're crazy. Just like teens should be. My phone beeps and vibrates in my back pocket, making me jiggle weirdly... I take it out to see a message I just received.

Lucas.

WHERE ARE YOU?! Sweetheart :)

Being intimidating yet unnecessarily flirty the same time, yep that's Lucas.

Me: Out.

Jerk: You don't say. WHERE?

Me: Narnia.

After replying, I notice the new song the teens played while smirking at me. I instantly recognize the song after listening to the sound of the drum.

Talk dirty to me.

I rolled my eyes and walked away from them. And it started raining. I ran towards the benches with shades above them. At the same time, Lucas called.

"Hi Daaaarling!" He greeted, actually shouted that I had to put the phone away from my ear for a little while. "How's Aslan?" He asked me, faking enthusiasm. I couldn't help but roll my eyes. I do that a lot.

"What do you want?"

"What do you want from meeee? What do you want from me?" He sang at the top of his lungs. I groaned loudly, and replied, "What is it, Lucas?"

"I'm bored Darling. I just got rid of all the meetings. So..."

"I'm at the park." I sighed, tracing my hand along the side of the bench.

"I'm coming."

"Now?" I asked, suddenly feeling happy though I saw him just in the morning.

"No. Tomorrow." He snorted before adding, "Just going to change. These dress shirts are-" Before he could say anything, I spoke. "If you really want to come, come now. Or else I'm going to go somewhere else and return as late as possible." My gaze settled on the ice cream parlor nearby.

"But this is a white shirt and it's raining-"
Of course you idiot. That's the only reason I'm allowing you to join.

No, shut up conscience.

"I'm not going to wait."

"Fine." He huffed and hanged up. I smirked at my phone and placed it back in my pocket, waiting for Lucas.

*********************

The rain got heavier by the time Lucas arrived at the gates of the park. Looks like fate is on my side today.

Just kidding.
Not.

There he was, taking slow strides while scanning the park. His white shirt, yes his white shirt, was drenched and sticking to his abs, fairly tracing their outline. Water was dripping down from his hair to his face and I couldn't stop myself from staring at him. He was handsomely tall, with a muscular body and a broad frame. A few strands of his hair were falling carelessly on his forehead. He brought his hand up and brushed them back at the same time he caught me ogling at him. He smirked at me, knowing that he caught me drooling at him, and started walking towards in my direction.

Lucas + White shirt + Rain + Smirk = Candy drooling a river. Yep, that's pretty much the equation.

He reaches me and the animals that live in my freaking stomach decide to do the Harlem Shake.
"Seriously Darling, you staring at me pretty much confirms my belief. You want me." He winked at me while giving me a lopsided grin. I notice he changed his dress pants to jeans, and narrow my eyes back at him.

"You did this on purpose." I stated.

"What?" He feigned innocence, "Coming after you as fast as possible?"

Oats and Beans and Barley, he knew.

"Whatever, I'm going." I say but I'm quickly turned around and facing his chest before I could say a Bye. He's smirking down at me, while I'm staring at the bare skin I can see from the first two buttons of his shirt undone. "Not so fast, Darling."

I gulp. I'm actually having a problem with my hormones. Like seriously? Hormones are some sort of Karma for me now.

I look up to meet his gaze, a gaze full of amusement. He's enjoying my reaction towards his touch, his effect on me. It's obvious; my mouth quickly shuts up when he holds me close to him, when he watches my moves, a difference I noticed. The first few days in his office, I used to keep talking back at him and hide my body's reactions. Hell, now even when I'm talking to him, or even asking the time, I'm acting like a hobo.

Hence the nickname then.

No wait, it was for the way you shouted, 'Die Armani model, Die!' Priceless.

Stupid mocking conscience.

He grabs my wrist and twirls me around, before I land safely in his arms again. My back is pressed to his chest, my body is tensed but his feels to be relaxed.
We stood there for a long while with him rubbing circles on the back of my hand as he hummed to an unfamiliar song, while I stood there with an expression of: Oh my god it's happening.

I know, I'm weird.

Enjoying the weather, the cool breeze, in your crush's arms is really exhilarating.
Now I was grinning widely, ignoring the fact that I'm letting Lucas break my walls down. He's doing it really fast, to my dismay. But I got no regrets.

So when you're ready come and get it Lukey.

I'm so cool.

We separated when his phone started ringing. His eyebrows furrowed as he looked at the caller's name.
"It's Dad." He stated, confused.
Pressing the attend button and bringing it to his ear, I could hear the voice of his father shouting at him. "You excuse of a son! Get your ass here right now! There were only three meetings as long as I remember that too on one day. I didn't send you for a freaking honeymoon! Spare the young Lockwood; we need some work to do." He shouted but I could hear a smile in his voice. I looked at him and crossed my arms, this time I was the one smirking. He rolled his eyes at me and walked out of my hearing range. I could see his faint sheepish smile as he nodded and promised his father to come back soon. To me, the sight was very entertaining. If his father was here now, he would surely be twisting his ears, a sight I'd love too.

He ended the call and sighed loudly in relief. He pinched the bridge of his nose, something he does when stressed, and shook his head, smiling. He came back towards me and said, "Dad. He wants us to come back. He says he doesn't trust me." He said, still grinning and wiggling his eyebrows. I laughed out loud.

"Plus, its Karen's wedding coming so, yeah. I need to organize it soon."

Karen is getting married? She's lovely and I'm happy for her.

"That's beautiful." I said, thinking of her sweet little banter with Lucas.

"When is it?" I asked, feeling excited for the charming lady's wedding.

"The date isn't confirmed yet, but it's soon." He replied.

"By the way, I made you wet again." He winked at me. I groaned and started punching him repeatedly.
His innuendos will never end. Not that I mind.
