"'The plan was operation D-Minus. And one of the schools included was *insert name* high school, where a kid named Roman Sanders-'"
"'That's me!'" Roman announced, cutting Thomas off.
"An honor student-"
"'I get straight As!'"
"'Was in the final semester of his senior year. Well, he was in luck when a new student showed up in two of his classes.'"
A boy around Roman's age walked into the classroom. He took the seat in front of Roman, who switched seated with Patton, who was right next to the student.
"The name he went by was Virgil."
Roman looked at Virgil longingly.
"'Roman what initially drew you to Virgil?'"
"Well, his style and attitude but those were not the only things about him." Roman explained. "'He said that he moved to Florida from New York, where dreams are made!'" He said the last part as if it were a slogan in an ad.
"'So I said hi.'"
Virgil gave a short wave back.
"'And I was like: what the heck I gotta do to be with you? And what the heck I gotta say for you to be with me?'"
"'You said this to him in class?'" Thomas asked.
"'Yes but I texted him too!'" Roman pulled out his phone and texted Virgil something. A moment later, there was a reply. It was a smiley face.
"Soon, we're texting every day. I trust him immediately. He listens to me and everything! One day, I decided to ask him out, and he said-"
"'No.'"Virgil cut him off and walked away.
"'No'" Logan and Patton echoed.
"'NO! Well, he didn't say no exactly I dunno.'" Roman interjected. Thomas, Patton, and Logan stared at him.
"'Yeah I'm surprised, I'm a pretty great guy!'"
"'So?'" Logan sighed.
"'So I decided to step my game up. I serenaded him in front of the whole class!'" Roman serenaded Virgil, who blushed and sunk away, trying to hide in his seat.
Finally, Roman walked up to Virgil.
"'Virgil, I know there's a reason. You were transferred here to me and I know that it's not luck it's destiny! So Virgil Sanders,'" he got on one knee as if he was proposing. Virgil was blushing like crazy.
"'Will you go to prom with me?'" Roman finished.
Virgil got really close to Roman and said "'I'll think about it'" before pushing him over.
Roman went back to his chair as his classmates whispered like crazy. He victoriously dropped down in it with a "'YES!'"
