"What do you mean he's not here?" Virgil exclaimed. "This is his room. Where else would he go?"
"That's literally what he means." Logan replied. "Roman did not come here. Why do you think that there's this feeling of emptiness?" Virgil nodded, knowing what Logan meant.
"But if he's not in his room, where is he?" Thomas asked.
"He could be in the mind palace" Patton suggested.
"Too obvious." Logan quickly replied. "He'd go to a place where none of us would dare to look."
"But isn't that dangerous?" Virgil asked.
"Precisely." Logan said. "He's rising a lot going there because he knows that if we follow whatever happens won't be good."
"But where did he go?" Thomas asked.
"Well, there's definitely more than our rooms and the mind palace but beyond that is basically unknown for us." Logan explained.
"We thought parts were, you know, more dark and scary 'rooms.'" Patton added.
"So...we could look there" Thomas said.
"Yeah but whoever goes should not go alone. We all know that the rooms 'corrupt' us if we're there too long." Virgil said.
"Wait you think that splitting up is a good idea? Remember what happens when people split up in horror movies?" Patton asked.
"Although it doesn't seem safe, Virgil might have a point." Logan said. "Patton and I can search different places of the mindscape and you two," he gestured towards Thomas and Virgil, "could look in the hidden, more dangerous parts."
Virgil looked around. "We should probably go." He said. "I don't like what's happening in here. It seems worse." He was right. The room had gotten more darker and colder.
"Oh no. This is worse than I thought." Logan mumbled. "Well, the rest is up to us. Good luck." He sunk away.
Patton was about to sink down before looking at Thomas and Virgil. "Please, be careful, kiddos. This is really risky." With that, he left.Virgil and Thomas looked at each other. Both of them were thinking the same thing.
"Are you ready?" Virgil asked.
"Yeah." Thomas replied.
"It's just like entering the other rooms. Just think of all the deepest darkest things."
"Okay." With that, the two of them journeyed into the unknown.
