2 MONTHS LATER

"Yeah, 4 tickets to the sold out movie." I slam the money on the counter of the city's oldest movie theatre. Shit popcorn, shit seats and even shitter movies. What can I say, Michael's choice. I see the pretty girl with boxer braids in her hair stare more wide eyed at my wrist than at the money.

"I'm afraid I can't do that, sir." She tells me as her gaze is lifted to my eyes. "First of all, I'm 16, don't call me sir. And second, I think you can make it happen, baby girl." Her stare solid as she doesn't move a muscle, not ready to budge any time soon. Calum slides in. If I can't persuade her, what in hell's name is making him think he can. "Listen kid." He starts as she turns her gaze back to my wrist.

"No. I'm not a kid, there isn't any tickets left hence the term 'sold out' and on top of all of it, the movie is 18+ and you just admitted you're only 16." Before Calum starts again I bud in, trying to save our asses. "I'm 16. Calum over here is 17 Michael is 18 and Ashton is 19. Also, must I say, we are very mature. So it's totally fine if we get sneaked in without a ticket for a little extra pocket cash for our pretty little cashier ki-" I pause as she isn't looking impressed with my use of words. "Sorry, I mean- Big Girl." I state sarcastically. She just smiles. "As much as I'm enjoying this new angle of you, Luke. I can't let you guys in."

The three boys stand back to look at me. "Huh?" I tell her, as confused as I could be. "I'm used to seeing the back of your head." She can see that we are all still very confused and continued. "You sit in front of me in biology." I'm almost one hundred percent sure I've never seen her, but whatever she says I guess. "Look." I pause to look at her name tag that isn't there. I just stare at her blankly. "Madison." She tells me trying not to sound unamused but failing miserably. "Madison, I-"

"Who's Carter?" She asked me suddenly. "Every fucking time." Ashton raises his hands behind me. Ever since I got this stupid tattoo everyone asks me who Carter is. Fucking. Everybody. "Isn't that like a boys name or a-?" She asked me. "That's what I fucking said." I said under my breathe as she looks confused. That's it. I'm gonna put so many wrist bands on that it covers this stupid ink.

"Madison, I just want to get into the movie." I tell her honestly. Getting straight to the point and dodging the question. "And I would like to keep my job." She tells us. I'm genuinely confused by this. "Why?" I asked her with an authentic confused look on my face and tone in my voice. She laughed the most whole hearted and kind laugh I've ever heard in my life. I just didn't understand why a pretty teenage girl wanted to have and maintain a job but she gave me a song to listen to while she found the words to help me comprehend.

"Why are the ones full of trouble always the cutest." She mutters. "I can say the same about the innocent." I said looking at the counter and leading my gaze back up to meet hers. She again just lets out a smile. I'm pretty bummed that we aren't getting into the movie but I admire her stubbornness.

"Ok pretty boy, let's get you outta here before you end up in someone's bed tonight." Big brother Ashton buds in yet again.

As we're walking out of the theatre, I must say, I'm pretty excited to go to school on Monday. It's the end of the year so we aren't doing shit, and plus. Now I know what I can do in biology for the dreadful 75 minutes.

MONDAY

As the bell for the end of biology rings, we all get up and take our stuff to sling around our shoulder. "Hey Madison!" I call out before she gets to far ahead of me. She turns around and by that slight action, she isn't the most innocent. She's pure. But she's got hella heart eyes for trouble. She likes the bad. I guess now it's a matter of figuring out if she likes the bad because she can change them, or if they change her.

"Me and the boys are going to get frozen yogurt after, you wanna come?" I ask her in the friendliest way possible. I'm being very genuine. I don't want anything from this girl. Yet, anyway.

"Can I bring a plus one?" She asked with the rasp in her voice that I noticed was pretty evident. Pretty opposite from her innocent little giggle. Much different from that girl who did my tattoo. She wasn't pure but she knows how to act like daddy's little girl. This one probably sits on the couch with her dad and yells at soccer on the tv, but her heart. Some may say it's big. I say it's breakable.

"Uhm. Who might that be?" I ask scratching the back of my neck. "My friend. She goes here too." At the slight sound of she my heart goes back to a normal rate. How awkward would that be if she brought her boyfriend. If she has a boyfriend. Is that something you ask someone on your second day of speaking to them? I snap out of my thought to give her proper acceptance. "Yeah, of course." "Ok great." She smiles. "The one on 5th street?" She bites her lip after the sentence. A habit I've been told once or twice I seem to pick up on. "That's the one." I smile back. "See ya there." "See ya."

FIFTH STREET-FREDDIE'S FRO-YO

"Ok, so if we go to the other theatre then maybe they will sneak us in? Or fake ID?" I hear Calum discussing a plan with the boys as I stare off into the window. "Luke?"

"Yeah, Mate?"

"Ah!" I hear a fragile voice gasp. We all turn. "Mate? You guys are the four Australian's at school!" If being 6'4, popular, dark blue eyes and just damn right sexy wasn't enough for people in the streets of Los Angeles to stare. Having a deep Australian accent definitely topped it all off. "Yup." I state rather rudely and continue staring out the window.

I see Madison walking along side her friend so I nudge Mike to initiate cool mode. No lame jokes, no stupid behaviour and keep your dick in your pants until I call first dibs. My heart starts to beat irregularly. Not because I'm nervous, but because of the shock running through my body. I look to the boys to notice Michael being the only one who hasn't caught on. When I see the look on his face change, I stare back at the two girls. They pull out their chairs and greet us.

Madison greets us. Maia is in just as much shock as we are.
