I'm sorry for everything.

I'm sorry i couldn't help you.

I'm sorry for not having your back.

The battle. The last battle, the one that would end it all.
The one that took the last lives of that godforsaken war.

The paladins were fighting there last fight against the Galra, everybody had there part. And in the end there where only three standing against the last one, the source of all hell. Zarkon.

There was shooting in the distance. Noise of swords clashing against each other. Screams.

And blood everywhere.

A shot through the chest, a body falling on the ground, a move to save someone else his life.

"LANCE!!"
Everything collapsed.

"Say hi to my family."
"You idiot!" sobs echoing through the now silent room. The body of the enemy down.

"Goodbye Keith, we where a good team."

"No!" he sobbed, "No... there is help, just wait!"

"Goodbye mullet."

He hugged him closer "I promised to bring you home."

"SHIRO!"

The walk through those doors, meted with four faces full of fear.

"Where is Lance?"

"I'm sorry......"

The grief that now everyone had, the silent that would have been filled by the blue paladin.
The tears slipping down the faces of his family and comrades, the screams, the sobs, the cries to come back. The silent that followed.
The grave that was put on Earth getting the rain he always loved. The moment to move on aching in everyone's chests.

Gilt, rage, sadness, the raw emotions building up from the lost.

From the Hero.

The Warrior.

The fallen Paladin.

I'm sorry for not bringing you home

I'm sorry i couldn't save you Lance,
sorry for bringing back your dead body,
sorry for having all your blood on me,
sorry for telling your family the news,

I'm sorry for never telling you....
