Looking up at him was a girl with bright purple eyes and a face full of embarrassment. She was very lovely, a rival to the beauty of his fiancée.

He understood that she did not want to be accompanied by him to the ball, but he was interested now. He took his sisters hand and placed Lyretta's small hand on his free arm. He then slowly walked off toward the ball.

Lyretta whimpered quietly. This was not good, but she could only follow.

Maid Mia who knew the identities of all the people in front of her had the same thought.

As they got closer to the ball they could hear enchanting music drifting out. Already, even though there was about a half hour left before the party began, many had already arrived and many more were waiting to be announced into the ballroom.

Little missy looked at this scene and then looked back at her big brother and big sister Lyretta. He scrunched her brows together as thoughts passed through her head.

"Oww! Big brother my tummy hurts!" Little missy released her big brother's hand and clutched her stomach as she doubled over.

Prince Aka immediately turned to his sister and let go of Lyretta. Lyretta also turned toward the little girl with a worried look on her face.

"Does it hurt a lot? Let's go back and see a doctor." Aka reached out to pick up Little missy.

This was not missy's goal, so she took a few steps and then took hold of Lyretta's dress.

"No, I want to stay with big sister. I don't want a doctor. Owwww!" Missy continued to complain, this time more petulant than ever.

Worried about the pain Missy felt Lyretta bit her lip and tried to think of a solution. "How about we find a place for you to rest. If the pain persists then I will go with you to see the doctor too. Is that ok?" Lyretta offered a suggestion. Missy keeping up her act nodded weakly, and this time allowed her brother to pick her up. It was not long before they found a well decorated bench and all three sat down.

Two people spent nearly a half hour fawning over the little girl as she said over and over that the pain was becoming less and less.

Finally, Missy decided enough time had passed.

She took Lyretta's hand and once more placed it in her brother's arm. This time neither person objected because their full attention was still on making sure the little girl was fine.

In fact, Little Missy simple wanted them to arrive a little late to the ball. Her goal was for a lot of people to witness her big brother and big sister Lyretta arriving together. Then her brother would understand that only with big sister did he make a perfect couple. Also, the more people that saw, the more she felt the two would be pushed together. She wanted their entrance to have a big impact.

All three walked to the entrance of the ball room.

Now there was no one waiting for entry into the ball room so Lyretta, Aka, and missy all approached the announcer directly.

Aka showed his identification plate as well as Missy's to the announcer. The announcer only glanced at it, both were already well known to him. The third person though, he had not seen before.

Seeing her dress, his first thought was that she was a poor aristocrat lucky enough to receive an invitation to a palace ball. He watched as the beautiful lady in front of him took out her identification plate and his mouth dropped open.

Maid Mia who had been following behind the trio approached the Announcer and gave him a slip of paper with her mistress' name. The name plate now currently had the name Kaliss on it, as it had belonged to Lyretta's mother, so for now a piece of paper was needed until a new one was made. This would only matter a few times, in the future her mistress would be better known, and the same treatment as Prince Aka would be given.

At this point Aka's handsome face was trapped in a deep frowned. Only now did he recall that he still did not know the lady's identity.

The announcer regained his wits and announced all three.

"Prince Aka of Rui! Princess Serenity of Rui!" The attention of many of the guests in the ballroom turned to the door as they heard the name of their future King Consort.

The attention of the females was drawn to the prince while the men had turned only out of reflex, but their eyes stayed in place when they saw the beauty next to him. They paused as they appreciated her lovely visage.

"Countess Lyretta of the Soumi Clan!" After the announcer said the lady's name the stares of the women moved toward her as they stared in disdain while the men still admired her beauty, but their stares turned cold.
