It was not long before Esmeralda was fidgeting in Aka's courtyard. She wanted to talk to him, but she was afraid that she had been right initially and that his actions had not been a misunderstanding of any sort.

Pacing back and forth for several minutes she finally decided to be courageous and talk to Aka.

Just as she approached the tall double door, she heard some voices behind her and out of instinct ran behind a large tree nearby.

"Big sister, you looked so pretty today!" Little missy said as she pulled Lyretta's hand and swung it back and forth.

"Oh, thank you. You looked even prettier though. "Lyretta said as she picked up the little girl.

"Big sister.... Do you like big brother?" Little missy asked as she circled her arms around Lyretta's neck.

Lyretta stopped walking and stood still as she held the little girl. This question....

"Your big brother is my sister's fiancé. I could not dare to like him." She replied as she placed little missy back on the ground. There was a thick feeling she could not describe pushing down at her heart, but she did not want to explore it.

"But big brother does not like her." Little missy said in all seriousness. Her usual childishness was gone as she craned her neck to loop up at Lyretta.

Lyretta eyes widened as she lowered her head to look down at the girl. She closed her eyes and looked away. What did that matter? A marriage between two kingdoms, even she understood love was not a necessity for such.

Finally, she sighed and lowered herself down to Little missy's eye level. "Little missy, you are so young still." she said as she placed a hand on missy's soft cheek and caressed it.

"You must remember, in this life one must make the best of it. Your brother and my sister are fated to marry. Rather than interfere we should help them so they can be happy. Don't you think?" She asked as she poked the little girl's forehead playfully.

Little missy bit her lip as she lowered her little face.

"But, big sister.... I only want you to be my sister in law. Don't you want to be my sister in law?" Little missy asked as she copied Lyretta's action from earlier and gently caressed her cheek.

"Silly girl! Just because you want me to be your sister in law does not mean it will happen. Does your brother even known you are being so silly?" She asked as she smiled and covered the little girl's hand with her own.

She thought little missy was just being a little obstinate and unreasonable due to her young age, never did it cross her mind that for Little Missy her choice was made the moment she had seen her brother save Lyretta earlier. If she had seen Aka made even a single move toward Esmeralda, her mind would not have been so set on Lyretta.

Before she had only been half serious in pursing Lyretta for her brother's sake, but after seeing her brother's actions from earlier, everything was different.

Her brother was a person with a character that was highly disinterested in others. Perhaps because of what their own family had been like he had stopped caring about others. Now, only she could draw out any emotions from him. This was normally fine, but she really wanted her bother to be happy. She felt like Lyretta could make him happy, that was why she was so adamant about having Lyretta be with her brother.

Lyretta, she already knew, was a gentle person, unlikely to betray another, unlikely to hurt another with malice. This was what her brother needed and deserved.

Little missy took a step back and stared at Lyretta for a few moments, an intensely serious and somber air now surrounded them as Missy continued to stare.

"Big sister, my brother has been through a lot of sadness and heartache, he deserved a good lady, a kind lady, a lady who will love him and care for him. The Princess, in truth I know she is not bad, but she is selfish and spoiled. He does not need someone like that." The little girl said completely unashamed. Her words were hurtful but true, she was not ashamed to say mean words if they would help her brother.

Lyretta on the other hand was very shocked hearing the cherubic faced little girl spout such mean sounding and yet heartfelt words filled with love and concern toward her brother.
