"He what?!" "Asked me out. And I said yes! I can't believe I said yes!" I say to Alicia over FaceTime.
I'm outside on my balcony talking to her so I don't wake my parents. "Well damn aren't you just a lucky shit!" She says and I laugh.
"Yeah well I'm freaking out. We haven't seen each other in years, then all of a sudden we are going on a date!" I say and sit down and run my hand through my hair.
"Okay just calm down. He's Shawn. A human. A normal guy." She says and I nod. "That's not a problem. I've always seen him as a normal person." I say.
"Wait what about your brothers? What about Dustin?" She asks me. "My brothers and family know nothing about it yet. We want to wait to tell them. And as for Dustin, I don't even want to think about him." I say and sigh.
We talked for a little longer and then I went to try and get some sleep. It took me a while because of all the nervousness, but when I did fall asleep I was very happy about tomorrow.
--
I go downstairs for some lunch and my mom is in the kitchen. "Hey honey how was last night?" She asks me.
I smile to myself and then answer her. "It was good except that both Ian and Geoff left me." I say and she looks at me. "They what?!" She says.
"Geoff was suppose the bring me home, but then he had to leave so he said Ian would take me home, but the Ian left with a girl thinking that Geoff was still taking me home. The funny thing is that neither of them know I had to get a ride home." I say and smirk.
I grab a banana from the fruit bowl and peel it. "You should make them pay you for the money you spent to get a ride." She says and begans cutting vegetables again.
I was about to tell her that I didn't pay for one, but then I stopped. One because I don't want to tell her about Shawn, and two because then I can get some money out of my brothers.
"You know that's not a bad idea." I say and smile. "Thanks mom!" I say and kiss her cheek.
There's a knock at the door and so I go to answer it.
"Oh hello Ian." I say and evilly smile. "Um Hi?" He says and walks in. "Come in and sit down please." I say and walk with him to the living room.
"What's going on?" He asks. "You'll see, but we need to wait for the other person involved." I say and then the doorbell rings. "Oh look, that's probably him." I say and go get the door.
"Come on in Geoff. We were waiting on you." I say and he looks at me weird. "For what?" He asks. "We need to talk." I say and sit him down.
"Okay." He says and laughs. "Oh I'm glad you think this is funny." I say and then they stop laughing. "So who wants to tell me which one of you drove me home last night.
I wait and they both point to each other. "Wait what?" Ian says. "You were suppose to take her home." Geoff says. "Nope! I was left by myself and had to get a ride home all because you two didn't communicate with each other." I say and look at them.
"I just thought-" "See that's where you went wrong." I say cutting off Ian. "Nothing ever good comes from you thinking." I say and Geoff laughs.
"Don't laugh! You're the one who wants to run to off places without telling your family. Who do you think you are? Freakin Dora the explorer?" I say.
"Look, we're sorry." Ian says. "I know. And that's why I also know that you two are going to pay me back for the money I spent on a ride home." I say.
