Promise

A young Kai and Nya were playing outside. The little fire ninja watched as his 3 year old sister gasped "Oh what's that." She watched every move of the creature. How it made beautiful moves in the sky and as his wings move up and down. It reminded her of a rollercoaster.

The older brother of 5 chuckled "It's a butterfly." He moved his hand up as the creature landed on his hands. "You see?"

"Oh can I touch it?" The small girl wanted to grab it but the butterfly moved away before she could reach it. "Oh." She said disappointed.

"Don't worry sis, dad taught me how to be patient. Well.. kind off." Kai smiled sheepishly.

Nya chuckled "You and patient?"

The small boy smiled as he stood up from his place "I'm working on it. Later I'll be even a better blacksmith than dad." He looked around with a confused expression "Where are they actually? They were in the shop right?"

"I don't know." The young water ninja stood beside her brother as she gazed at her surroundings "Maybe they visit Dr.Saunders again."

"Mm maybe." Kai response "Dr.Saunders acted really strange the last time.. but they wouldn't leave without saying anything."

"Maybe he's just sick, I don't know about mommy and daddy though." The small girl said.

"Well, you stay here while I'm searching for mom and dad okay?" Kai asked to his sister.

Nya whined "Why? I wanna come with you." She pouted while crossing her arms.

"Because I'm the oldest." Kai smirked while ruffling his sisters hair. "Welp I gotta go, see ya later." He walked off leaving his sister alone by the shop.

The fire ninja decided to ask his neighbors about where his parents could be. He knocked at the door as a grumpy old man came outside.

"What?" He spat out rudely.

"Oh.." Kai's face fell as he recognized the man. Once he played outside with a ball but it kind of went wrong.. the ball went right though the window as it broke down into pieces , his  father had to pay the costs. And believe me, his dad wasn't happy at all. "Well, good to see you again sir." He smiled sheepishly.

"What do you want." The man snapped "Haven't you caused enough trouble?!"

"Well I wanted to know if you had seen my parents, they've been gone for a long time." Kai tried to stay polite, yes even when he was young he had a kinda short temper. Just like his dad.

"No i haven't see them, Now get out of here!" The old man yelled. After his sentence, he slammed the door in the fire wielded face.

"Well that's rude.." Kai muttered to himself.

He asked his other neighbors without luck. Now there was only one option.

He decided to go to one his parents good friends. Dr.Saunders. He always found that man strange, I mean how does he get a long black beard?! That's crazy right.

When he finally arrived he opened the doors as he saw the man he was looking for. "Dr.Saunders?" Kai asked while approaching the man.

"Wha-who's there?!" Dr.Saunders said alert. But when he saw the little boy he relaxed a bit. "Kai, what are you doing here?" He smiled nervously.
