**Alex's POV**

"Alex, I don't know what you're doing with me anyway! I see how you look at all those guys when we're out in town!" he yells at me.

Dallas, Aliyah, and I had just come home from a night at the movie house. According to Dallas, when I was waiting in line to get popcorn, I was checking out another guy - which I wasn't. To be honest, I was drooling over the bucket of popcorn he had in his hand because Baby Winston had me craving something buttery.

"Dallas, I don't check anyone else out!" I yell back.

"Don't lie to me, Alex! I know you want those other guys that can give you the things I can't!"

"Then tell me why I married you, Dallas! Tell me why I chose you to father that baby!" I scream, pointing a finger towards Aliyah's bedroom.

"Aghhh!" Dallas screams and slams his hands into the table. Directly following comes Aliyah's shrieks of crying. Thank God Johnny is out with Ponyboy tonight.

I give Dallas a dirty look before running off to get her from her bedroom, where I'd put her down just 5 minutes earlier.

I find her standing up and screaming. Hurriedly, I grab her and cradle her.

"Shh, please don't cry, babygirl," I say soothingly. She wails endlessly in my arms.

"Everything is going to be okay, Daddy is just yelling at Mommy. Go back to sleep angel," I whisper. She chokes on her sobs before taking a few breaths and calming down. She begins closing her eyes and I continue to rock her slightly, kissing her tiny forehead a few times.

"I love you angel," I say and quietly return to the living room, still holding the baby. Dally stands up with a sad look on his face.

"Alex..." he says.

"Just get out! Go to Buck's, go to the Curtis's, I don't care, just get the hell out!" I scream at him.

"What?" he asks in shock.

"Get away from me and my baby! I don't want you near her!" I yell. Aliyah starts crying again and I hold her so she's cradled against my shoulder.

"You'd like that, wouldn't you? You'd love to have a stress free life, where you could raise that baby just the way you want to," he says with a manic look on his face. His expression sends shivers down my back.

"Then maybe I will just get the hell out. But don't be sorry if you find me dead in a ditch tomorrow," he says before walking out the door and slamming it.

My mouth doesn't close for a while. I can't get myself to move. I'm not sure if he meant what he said, but in the amount of time I stayed stuck here, I could guarantee that I wouldn't be able to trace him down on foot.

I call everywhere in town that I think he could possibly be. I call Buck's, but according to him, Dallas hasn't stopped by since last December. I call the Curtis house, but they hadn't seen him either. I even call the little store in town that he goes to when he's craving some sweets, but there's no sign of him there either.

I begin to panic. I can't lose him, that boy means everything to me. And to tell Aliyah that both of her dads died?

Oh my God, our new baby...

I place my head in my hands and try to calm down, breathing sharply and quickly. He has to be somewhere, he can't have just fallen off the Earth.

I run outside to the car and put Aliyah in her car seat. She wails loudly, but at this point there's nothing I can do. I quickly call Kayla, tell her that I'm bringing Aliyah over, and that I'll be there soon.
