"Dear Ash,
Thank you for all you have done for me. I love you. Surely we will meet again if we are really meant to be. Keep being you. I'm sorry I left. I just needed to find my family. I thought it was a right time to leave. I feel like I'm missing in this world. Goodbye
Yours truly,
Nora."
The letter reads with a heart at the end. I see another note.
It reads-
"Dear friends,
Thank you for taking me in as family. It's my time to go. I love you all. Thank you for my great experiences and saving me. I owe you guys so much. Goodbye.... Till we meet again.
Love,
Nora (;"
I smile. Will she come back?Nora's POV
I run until I see flashing lights ahead.
I get closer and realize it's the cops.
I imagine the time I watched as my brother was carried away in a cop car.
I see him being pushed in.
The memories haunt me like David does.
All setting down when the cops come and pick my brother up for abuse or something like that.
I put my hood on and all past the cop car and across the road.
"Hey!" The cop yells
"Where'd you come from?""Uhhh....." I hesitate then point to where I came from.
"Just walking. Ride wasn't being nice. Now I'm going somewhere" I make up a story.
"Ok. You be careful you here!" I nod and keep walking as he cuffs the man.I finally find a dinner. I'm new here so it'll be kinda awkward.
The bell rings as I walk in.
"How may I help you?" The women ask.
"May I have a table for 1?" I ask.
"Sure. Pick a seat and sit" she says sweetly.
I set in a booth as a guy at the bar keeps turning to look at me.
My face is probably red from crying. I hear my phone go off.
"Great. Who could this be?" I ask myself as I pick my phone up.
I answer it.
"What may I get you?" The lady ask.
"Sh-shit!" I jump and toss my phone.
She laughs.
"Uhhh.... Melo yellow please"
"Ok." She says as she leaves.
I pick my phone up.
"Look, what is it that we did?" I hear the voice say first. It's a deep voice.
This familiar voice, I could never forget.
I feel a tear.
"I-it's not you guys. Please understand. I-" he stops me.
"God, to hear your voice and know your ok. It just, it's so amazing." He says.
"I have to go." I say blankly.
"Please don't." He says as I hang up. It was Peter.
I love Peter. I love Ash. Love is hard. Life is hard. Freedom is hard.
I set as the girl brings out my drinks.
"What can I get you?" The lady ask.
I take a deep breath.
"May I get a uhhh....." I look at the menu. I smile. "3 pancakes please. With a smile?" It was mine and my brothers favorite when we were upset.
"Ok" she says.
I look down at my thumbs, now on the table, and twiddle them, my thumbs touching as I shake.
"Hey." I jump at the voice. I look at the other side of my booth, that guy from the bar setting in front of me.
"Uhhh..... Hi?" I question.
"I'm West. West Burns" he says.
"Nora" I look down.
"You look new around here"
"You think?"
"Where you going?" He ask.
"Nun no"
"Come on!" He scoffs. "Look, be careful."
"I'll give you my number"
He says as he takes out a pen and writes on my arm.
It's a number and some design.
He gets up and walks outside. I watch as he smokes as cigarette and starts a motorcycle.
Damnnnnn.
I laugh as I eat my food. *sigh*
I look at the time. It's only 9:07 at night. No one has come looking for me yet.WEST
