Come to Me . . .

Estefania's P.O.V.

I was just lying in bed, thinking about the good old times that I used to have with Andrea and Eli, my mom, and my dad, when I felt a slightly different aura surround me. A sort of dark aura. Again, I felt the pain driving deep into my soul and spiralling into my mind. It was like a knife piercing through my nerves and took control over my body. I fell to the ground, wincing in pain. Then I realized, a curse had been put on me. I felt the dark spirit linger around my room, after a little bit he spoke up. "And you. The precious angel of the icy couple. It's too bad you didn't have any powers." At those last words the pain stopped and he brought me back to reality. I thought about it for a little bit and he was right. I never had any powers. The incident that occurred was just a misunderstanding and temporary. In just 2 weeks, the moon will rise and I will be back to normal. I never had powers and I never will have either.

"What do you want from me?" I asked him, inquisitive.

"Oh. I don't want you." This got me curious.

"Then why are you torturing me? Who are you?"

"My name is Pitch. Pitch Black. But you can call me Black. I am trying to save you."

"So you're telling me that you are saving me by torturing me." I still wasn't getting it. Man, this guy is confusing.

"Oh. No, no," he said with a bit of a chuckle, "See, I want to bring you into my home. But your family keep refusing because they think I'm evil. Do you think I'm evil?" he asked me. It didn't take me such a long time to come up with an answer.

"Well, if you consider a curse of eternal pain evil, then yes. I think you're evil," I replied matter-of-factly. I received a nod in return.

"Did you know that my parents have lied to me, as well as yours." I was surprised by this news. My family would never lie to me. Not my mom.

"My mom would never lie, not to me," I retaliated confidently. I was feeling proud that I was defending my mama.

"Then can you explain this?" he asked, holding up a mirror. There was a picture of my mom right next to me and for the first time, I could see the resemblance. Our eyes. That was all I saw. She was lying, from what I saw.

"How could . . . I don't understand," I said silently.

"Come to me. I can explain everything." He lowered the mirror and I moved closer to him. There were so many thoughts floating around in my head. Questions without answers. "Yes, that's right," he hissed. I took a few steps toward him and finally stopped. "Now. Look into my eyes."
