Deidara poked at his food with his fork, not bothering to look up at his father or his father's new girlfriend, Chie. The women's strawberry blonde hair was pulled into a tight pony tail as her hazel eyes looked over at the blonde teenager "Deidara, eat." he glanced up at her "and what if I told you wasn't hungry Chie?" Chie frowned at him and Deidara could of swore he heard his father mumble something about him being just like his mother, Kashikoi. The high schooler stood up and took care of his dishes "I'm going to Sasori's" Deidara's father looked up at him as well as Chie "oh no you're not. You still have missing assignments to work on, until they're caught up you aren't going anywhere young man" That irked the blonde boy. He was sick of her trying to act like his mother, whom he'd rather live with. Chie looked at her boyfriend "Sumato tell him" Sumato looked at his son, blue meeting blue. "Chie is right, your school work and grades are more important than hanging out with your friends Deidara" Deidara sighed and stormed up to his room. At least that was his plan until he heard Chie and Sumato talking about him.

"He doesn't care about his grades at all"

"Chie he's getting C's, B's, and A's."

"So, he should be getting all A's, you know he's capable"

"Yes, I know. I just don't understand why he's being so lazy when it comes to school"

"I'll tell you why, he's too focused on his friends and that damn art of his"

"That would explain it."

"He's probably molding and sculpting with clay instead of working. I say you take it away from him"

Deidara sighed and made his way up to his room. He knew he was a fuck up to his father. He found art to be an escape from him.

The blonde wiped his eyes to be rid of the tears that threatened to go down his face. The sleeves of his black sweatshirt with a red cloud on it slid down his arm slightly to reveal slightly faded scars over faded scars. He sniffed and quickly called the group chat he made with his friends, The ones answering were his best friend Sasori, Hidan, and Konan. Hidan grinned "There's our favorite bomb-shell blonde" Konan and Sasori only rolled their eyes. Deidara smiled slightly "hey guys" his voice cracked as he spoke and he mentally cursed himself out for it, since he usually kept his depression hidden from his friends, aside from Sasori of course, the red head knew Deidara like he knew the back of his hand. Konan looked at him in concern and Hidan stopped laughing. Sasori only sighed "can you two click off the chat for a couple minuets?" Hidan and Konan nodded and clicked off, leaving only Deidara and Sasori to talk. The best friends looked at each other "show me your arms." he told him bluntly, the blonde sighed and showed him both arms. Sasori frowned with anger "how recent are those?" Deidara didn't answer. "Deidara" The blonde sighed "about five weeks ago" Sasori shook his head "What happened?" Deidara ran his fingers through his blonde hair "I'm such a fucking failure to this house, they expect me to get all A's. I'm not a perfect student, and Chie isn't any fucking help either." Sasori shook his head "you aren't a fuck up Deidara. You just a have a little bit of trouble when it comes to your AP classes, it'll be okay" Deidara half assed smiled "Thanks Sasori my man, I'm glad I know I can always talk to you." He clicked off the call and grabbed his sketch pad and a pencil and started sketching. It was a sad sketch but that's was ninety five percent of his art was. He also turned on a playlist, the consisted of Simple Plan, Sleeping With Sirens, Relient K, Owl City, All Time Low, Fall Out Boy, Mayday Parade, and Ed Sherran. The first song to come on was, Bombshell Blonde by Owl City. He turned his volume down low so Chie or Sumato wouldn't come storming up and yell at him.

A couple hours passed and Deidara had fallen asleep while drawing. Sumato had come upstairs and walked into his sons room quietly "Deidara?" He looked towards his sleeping son who's arm was hanging off the bed with a pencil in his hand while his other was holding onto his sketch pad limply, and the acoustic version of Who I Am Hates Who I've Been was playing. Sumato sighed and walked over to his son, taking the pencil and sketch pad gently, he set them on the desk by his bed and plugged his phone in. He took a blanket that was laying on the carpeted floor and threw it over his son and he patted Deidara's head softly "goodnight Deidara."
