Chapter 12

It was an average Sunday afternoon. Kind of. Deidara and Obito were currently home alone and we're hanging upside down on the couch. Waiting for the pizza they had ordered to arrive.

"I thought you said you wanted help studying for Professor Kakashi's test." Obito laughed "hey, we studied earlier. Who says we can't take a break?" Deidara rolled his blue eyes "for three hours?" Obito laughed loudly "hey, be glad I'm not pulling a Hidan. That guy will say 'let's take a break for ten minutes' and then there will be no going back." Deidara chuckled "and he wonders why he's failing Professor Tsunade's class."

The blonde's laughter died down before he sighed quietly "hey, what's been going with you lately? You've been....acting....different........" He trailed off as he turned his head to see that Obito had moved closer and was now staring at him. "Obito? You okay?"

Obito raised his hand and gently brushed Deidara's hair out of his face before cupping his cheek carefully. Anxiety raised up in the blonde's chest again "h-hey.......Obito...I'm serious, the hell is going on with you?"

He didn't receive an answer. Instead of speaking, Obito only closed his eyes and placed his lips onto Deidara's.

The blonde's eyes widen and he automatically pushed the Uchiha away and stood up off of the couch, his face a bright red in color.

Not knowing what to say, Deidara merely stuttered trying to find words but ended up retreating to his room. Leaving Obito on the couch, feeling rejected.

Meanwhile in Deidara's room, the blonde teenager was in panic attack mode. His breath coming out in short gasps. He hugged his arms tightly, sliding down his wall, trying to grasp the situation. A million questions running through his head. He could hear his heart beating like mad.
The first thing that came into his mind was to call Hidan. Which he did.

The silver haired male's raspy voice came from the other line "what?"
The artist's words came out fast and barley understandable "Hidan, Obito just kissed me! What the fuck do I do?!"

Hidan paused slightly "okay...Deidara slow down. First of all, who the fuck is Obito?" It dawned on Deidara that the others didn't know that Obito was Tobi "o-oh it's T-Tobi's actual name."
Speaking of the Uchiha, a text from him appeared upon the screen that read 'I'm sorry. I crossed boundaries I shouldn't of. I'll see you tomorrow.'

Deidara continued to try and calm his breathing as Hidan spoke through the phone "Deidara, you need to calm your ass down."

After a half hour later Hidan finally managed to calm Deidara down.

"Seriously Dei....you gotta talk to Tobi-Obito about this." Deidara only sighed "I know it's just........I kind of....didn't mind?" There was questioning and confusion in his voice. Hidan broke into a stuttering fit "wh-what?! Dude!" Deidara laughed slightly "Hidan! You literally were telling me about how rough you and Kakuzu get one day. You're into some kinky shit man." He knew Hidan was blushing bright red "enough about that, I thought we were talking about you're little problem with you being sexually confused?"

Deidara sighed "I dunno man. I mean, it seemed like he's been acting a little off around me lately but I didn't think something like this would happen." Hidan sighed on the other line "I don't know Dei. You're the one who's closest to him not us." The blonde hung his head in defeat "I know....its just.....how do you confront someone about something like this?"

Hidan gave a weak chuckle "you just be straight forward. In all honesty that's the best thing you can do." He paused for a moment before speaking again "do you remember when I came to your house at eleven thirty at night and you all thought I had frost bite cause it was a blizzard outside?" Deidara nodded "yeah, you told us you thought someone broke into your house and your fight or flight reflexes kicked in so, and I quote, you got the hell out of there."

"I lied"

Deidara's jaw dropped lightly "what?" Hidan laughed slightly at his friends reaction "I lied to you guys about it. The real reason was because of Kakuzu when we first started dating and growing actual feelings for each other." The blonde raised an eyebrow "I'm not following.." "We weren't at my house, we were at Kakuzu's-" his friend cut him off "you walked all the way from Kakuzu's to my house?! What the hell Hidan you could of gotten hypothermia!"

"More like ran then walked but anyway, let me finish. We were kinda just hanging out in Kakuzu's room, some kisses were stolen here and there, a couple make outs happened but during one of those that sly son of a bitch got cocky and went for my neck. I don't think it's a secret to any of you guys the right below my jawline on the right side is a big weak spot for me, well Kakuzu found it and I obviously had a reaction to it. It freaked me out cause I was in denial of my feelings for him so I pushed him off and got the fuck out of there." Deidara continued to listen as his friend told his story, wondering what this had anything to do with his current situation.

"I thought of ending it with him and try avoiding him for the rest of my life, then I told myself that won't work." Deidara hesitated to speak but he did anyway "why wouldn't it?" Hidan chuckled which turned into a slight laugh "because Dei, it was going to hurt me a hell of a lot more than breaking up with and avoiding him. I finally admitted defeat to myself and stopped denying my feelings. I found Kakuzu near the lockers the next day, pulled him away to a corner and talked to him about it. I told him why I did that and admitted my feelings in the process which he obviously reciprocated. And look at us, we've been together for almost three years dude, and I couldn't be anymore happier. I love him more than anything and I want to spend the rest of my life with him. And I realized all of this was because he found my weak spot and I decided I wasn't going to run away from that problem. You should do the same."

Deidara bit his lip as he thought about it, it did make a lot of sense. If Deidara had seen happy couples in his life, Hidan and Kakuzu were definitely on that list. "Alright, I'll confront him about it. I'll talk you later man, thanks." And he hung up.

Talk to Obito about it. That was the plan.

Before his anxiety kicked in and won the battle.

New plan; Avoid Obito at all costs, even if it means avoid all of your other friends.
