Cafeteria. This was the last place I wanted to be. The only seat left at our table was next to Payton, so I slowly sat down. "Are you alright Sky?" Payton asked. I look at her, then see Lily behind her, giving me a glare. "Yeah I'm fine." I say.
When we went up to get our lunch, Lily kept elbowing me in the stomach. She took the lunch I always get, and the last cookie. This may seem OK, like it happens all the time, but it was constant, The day before and the day before that, etc.
Then we had gym together. Dodgeball. Could this day get any worse. I'm actually pretty good at dodgeball, but Lily is better. So naturally it results in a trip to the nurses office and a late pass to health. I hate Lily. I wish she knew how it feels to be bullied.
When I got home, my ear was still red, and I now had a black eye. How beautiful. I hoped mom wouldn't notice my recent wounds.
"Oh love, what happened to you?" Mom said as she entered the kitchen where I was standing. So much for not noticing. "You remember when I was getting bullied in 4th grade?" I asked. She nodded her head. "Well, that bully is out to get me again." She almost started to cry. She wrapped me in her arms so tight I thought I was going to pop.
The next day at school we had a math quiz. I already aced the topic, so I knew I was gonna get a good grade. Halfway into the quiz Lily yells out next to me, "Skyler, stop looking at my paper." Mrs. Blue Looked up from her laptop and looked at us. "Skyler, I want you to stay after class with me." My stomach dropped. My eyes got watery. I got choked up, but I wasn't going to cry. I wasn't about to give Lily the satisfaction of winning. So I just said, "OK Mrs. Blue."
After class I was so worried. Apparently, Lily had to stay behind too. "I saw her whole head turned to my paper," Lily began, "she is such a cheater! I really didn't want to yell out so loud because it was a quiz. Even check. Her answers are exactly the same as mine." I was worried as Mrs. Blue found our papers from the pile. She did notice an error. In both. But the truth is, I never looked at her paper. I hate her. I don't want to be near her. But Mrs. Blue fell for Lily's story, so she ended up with my 95%, and I landed an F. I pretended I didn't feel good, and went home.
