Chapter 12

Mom drove me to school the next day. She had given me a little swig of her coffee to wake me up. As we bumped down the road, I thought about Lily. She looked like someone I knew, but I couldn't put my finger on it.

Maria was walking in to the school. "Maria!" I shouted. She turned and smiled. "Hello, Skyler." I loved her voice, it had a little accent in it. We walked in together. Just then, I felt a warmish sensation in my underwear. "Could you come to the bathroom with me quick?" I asked her. "Sure." Maria replied.

I ran into a stall. Uh....um.....EW!!!!!! I had blood in my underwear. Maria asked, "are you OK Skyler?" "I have blood..in..my..under.." "Oh Skyler," Maria said, cutting me off, "you just have your period." I had no idea what that was. I heard her hand rustling in her bag, then the rustling stopped. She handed me something, and she said it was "a pad". I put it in my underwear as she instructed. Then, I think it worked. I came out of the stall, and said thanks. " No problem." Maria said. The first bell rang, and we ran to our cluster.

I was almost late for history. I still had my sweatshirt on, but it wasn't unusual. Today, he had on a viking cap. A girl whispered to her friend, "freak". He was funny though. Entertaining. Here's where it went downhill. He pulled out a giant bag from behind his desk, and inside. Viking caps. See where he's going with this. I could.

Once I got out of that class, I had ELA. Mrs. Schiffon doesn't notice anything, so naturally I sit next to Payton. On the other side of her, Lily. Luckily, Kennedy sat next to me so I had someone else to talk to. I kinda wanted to know who Lily reminds me of, but I can't figure it.

In class, we had to do a thing on Disney. So I did my friends, and who would be who. Payton would be Ariel, Katie would be Belle, Kennedy would be Tia, Maria would be Jasmine (its all I could think of), and Lily would be Aurora. I'd probably be somewhere along the lines of Cinderella. Oh, by the way, I don't wear two ponytails anymore, I usually now wear a messy bun or hair down.

When I finished, I went to the bathroom. Just as I walked in, someone held me up against the wall.
