They didn't stop traveling until it became dark again. I was completely exhausted; I could hardly do anything, let alone think of a way to escape. The cat that was holding me let go of me roughly, I growled slightly and sat down, leaning against a tree trunk. My hands being tied behind my back was getting quite uncomfortable. I sighed. What did Tarilamor have planned for me? I didn't want to think about it. All I could hope for was a quick death.

And then, strangely, I suddenly felt self conscious. I looked around at everyone resting. All of them were male and dark furred, whereas I was a white cat, and female. I quickly began to feel worried. After a while of worrying, I soon realized that none of them seemed to have any interest in me. Wow, Tarilamor trained them well...

The cat that had been holding my arm all day spoke up, talking to me. "You know, anyone else would have been crying and begging for their release by now. Or death." he said with a slight bit of amusement in his voice.

All I gave him was a hard look.

He shrugged. "Okay, keep your dignity." Turning away for a moment, he grabbed a rope, and then came back, kneeling beside me. With quick fingers, he tied me tightly to the tree I had been leaning against. "We can't have you sneaking away in the night, eh?"

I frowned, turning away from him. He sighed and stood up, and my ears flicked back as I heard him quietly walk away from me. I gritted my teeth, wriggling around to try and get more comfortable, but any position I took didn't help, and my shoulders started to get sore. After a while I finally gave up and stopped moving, closed my eyes and willed myself to go to sleep. The light of the fire they had made sent shadows shifting, and the strange patterns flicking against the darkness was making me drowsy. When my eyes slowly started to close in sleep, I welcomed it.
