I walked tiredly through the hallways as Zuer lead me back to my room.
He looked down at me symathetically. “Are you going to be alright?”
“Mhm.” I nodded.
Zuer rolled his eyes and picked me up, carrying me to my room. He opened the door and set me on my bed, which I promptly sprawled myself across.
“Thank you.” I said, my voice muffled because my face was stuffed in one of the pillows.
“No problem.” He chuckled, smiling at me. “Just looking at you is making me tired.”
I rolled over so I could see him, and his brown eyes met my orange ones. “What do you plan on doing right now?”
He shrugged. “Since you’re resting, I’ll guard your room until you’re finished.” He began walking to the door.
I got up, hardly knowing what I was doing, and stopped him for a moment. Before he could react, I reached up on my tip-toes and kissed his cheek. “Thank you, again.” I suddenly blushed. Why did I do that.
He slowly grinned. “You’re welcome.” He went to the door, glanced one more time at me, then left to stand outside my door.
I laid back down in my bed, embarrassed, and quickly fell asleep on top of the covers.
