The silver tabby scaled the grey stone wall with ease and swung himself over the top onto the walkway, expecting some guards to knock out. But there weren’t any. Hmmm. His ears pricked as he heard some noise in the courtyard and he carefully looked over the edge of the inner wall.
A white cat had an otter pinned down. She let him up and a fox came to replace him. Training? The fox ran toward her. She stepped to the side and kicked the back of his legs, making his knees buckle. She had him pinned to the ground with her hand on his throat. She let the fox up and called for the next guard to come.
The silver tabby smiled. “She’s pretty good...” he chuckled. “But where’s that otter that’s supposed to be with her?” He watched her beat a few more guards to the ground. “I guess I’ll just have to wait.”
He waited, watching her beat each guard, one after another, until she was finished with them all. She turned away, rubbing her shoulder as she walked up to a big silver wolf and a well built, golden otter. He couldn’t hear what they were saying, but the white cat walked away with the otter when they were finished. Found him.
