Diamn motioned for the patrol to move forward. Claws outstretched, they scaled the wall, quickly reaching the top of the battlements.
The guards posted at the top drew their weapons. “Identify yourselves.”
The patrol cats stopped, and one of them whispered to Diamn. “We should have done it silently. Like Gustav wou-“
Diamn snarled and shoved the cat off the battlements. “How I do this is none of your concern, cat.” He turned back to the guards, speaking to the patrol. “Kill everyone who has seen us. No prisoners.”
They quickly went about their work, the three guards falling to the ground with slit throats.
“Let’s move.”
Down the other side into the courtyard of the castle. Into the door on the other side. Down the hallway.
Shhk. Thump.

The two guards in front of Kore’s bedroom door fell dead.
Diamn walked to the door and unlocked the door with his claws.
Kore stood, surprise on his face. “Wha-“
