I woke up in the bed I was in before I had run away. "Ugh! Turn the lights off, it's too bright!" I said aloud.

"Okay,"

I jumped out of my bed and grabbed the object nearest to me, which was a book. "Who the hell is there?" I shouted. I heard a giggle come out from the bathroom that is connected to the room. It was Eden.

I placed the book down back where I found it and looked at the little girl. "What the actual hell?" I shouted once more, not caring if she was young or not. "Why are you in here?"

"I-I'm sorry L-Leah. I d-didn't mean to scare y-you." She said. Her doe-brown eyes filled up with tears and I knew I couldn't stay mad at her forever.

I scooped her up into my arms and gave her a hug just as my door slammed open. We both jumped at the same time and looked to see who it was. There stood Kaden, Dean, and Kyle staring at the two of us.

"What's going on, why is Alayah shouting?" Kaden asked coming over to the two of us. Neither of us said anything, but I did keep hugging Eden saying I'm sorry and it's okay softly in her ear. Eden leaned back from me before speaking.

"I won't do it again, I promise!" Eden said. I laughed at her.

"That's a good thing then, I don't want to be woken up finding some stranger in my room again. I have to say that was a bit creepy but well played." I said laughing a little more, which cause Eden to laugh as well.

We both turn to look at Kaden, who was looking at us with a what-the-hell-just-happened expression on his face. "Um, can one of you two please explain what's going on," Kyle spoke to us.

Eden and I looked at one another before laughing. "Sorry guys, I didn't mean to yell. You see here, this little pup decided to scare the sh-crap out of me when I woke up this morning. I said 'Turn off the lights.' and then all the sudden I hear a tiny voice saying 'Okay,' and so then I grabbed a book and started yelling at the top of my lungs and it turned out it was Eden."

Each and every one of them gave me a confused look and then looked at Eden. "I didn't mean too, I just wanted to play with her." She explained. I laughed at her statement.

"Next time, don't wake me up at the crack of dawn for that," I said.

Kaden then spoke up. "Alayah, it's like 3 in the afternoon." I looked at him and then set Eden down.

I walked over to the clock hanging on the wall and there it said it was 3. "What! Why did I sleep for so long? I wasn't even that tired!" I exclaimed. "And I missed breakfast and lunch! What kind of operation are you guys running anyhow?" I said looking at the three older wolves.

Eden was dying out laughing at what I just said. I tapped my foot impatiently. "Food. Now." I said to them. Dean and Kyle jumped at my command.

"Yes, Luna." Before they left the room to go get me some food.

I then moved my gaze over to Kaden who was standing there with a smirk on his face. "What?" I said crossing my arms.

"Nothing," Kaden said.

I rolled my eyes. "Shit I forgot to tell them what I want. Oh well, if they don't bring me back something I like then I'll just yell at them some more." I said shrugging my shoulders.

I went back to my bed and laid back down, hoping to get some more sleep. "You need to get up Leah, or else you'll sleep the whole day away." I heard Cassie speak in my mind.

"Shut up, I'm trying to sleep!" I said aloud.

"Alayah, no one said anything." Kaden's voice filled my ears. He must have come over to my bed.

"Not you, that wolf in my head! I'd rather sleep the whole day away if it means escaping reality." I said. I snuggled down into my sheets before trying to go back to sleep. Once more the door was slammed open.

"Ugh!" I said as I got up. "Why can't you pea brains get it through your system." I was glad Eden had left when the other two did, she didn't need to hear what I was going to say. "Don't. Ever. Wake. Me. Up. Or there will be consequences." I shouted at Dean and Kyle who was looking down at the floor, not meeting my gaze.

"Alayah I think you need to calm down a little bit." I heard Kaden say. I ignored him.

"Leave the food and go do whatever it is you're supposed to do," I said to them. Their heads snapped up before responding.

"Yes, Luna." They said in unison.

"Don't call me Luna!" I shouted out at them as they left the room. "I'm not your Luna," I whispered to myself.

I sat down back on the bed, unaware that Kaden was still in the room. "Alayah," I heard his voice as he sat down beside me on the bed.

"What?" I snapped.

"You need to calm down." He said more intimidatingly. "What you're saying is getting out of hand."

I didn't know what to say to that. I kept thinking of things to say back, but nothing popped into my head. Finally, I thought of something. "Kaden," I started. "can you tell me something?"

He looked at me confused for a moment but then he answered. "Tell you what?"

I sighed. What I am about to say is the million different questions running through my head since I arrived here. "Why am I different? Why didn't I turn into a wolf when I was supposed to? Why did my parents never come back for me? Did they just not love me enough so they left? If there was really a war, why didn't they try to survive for my sake? Why was all of this hidden from me and what did I do to deserve all of this?" I felt so vulnerable after I spoke. I was shaking and hadn't noticed tears have fallen down my face until after I finished speaking.

I felt Kaden's gaze on me and I looked up at him. The usual cold hard stone expression he wore was gone and replaced with a very concerned and worried expression. "Alayah, you're different because you're something we've never seen before. You are rare" He started. I gave him a confused look which caused him to explain further.

"You're half-human half-werewolf, which is something that's rare to come by as most werewolves are full blooded wolves not half. That's the reason you never turned into a wolf is that, now this is just a theory Jake has, it's not your time to shift. You know your wolf is in you, but she hasn't come out yet, but she will with time."

I nodded my head, trying to comprehend everything. "Now for your parents, I have no doubt about it that they loved you and they just wanted you to be safe. This was hidden from you because you hadn't shown signs of shifting so your aunt didn't say anything about it."

I got up from the bed and headed for the door. "Where are you going?" Kaden asked, more like demanded. I turned back to him, only to notice the cold hard expression back on his face like a mask.

"Just for a walk, that's all. What can I not do that or something?"

"Yes you can go for a walk, but don't run off again and stay close to the pack territory." He finished. I nodded my head and walked out of the room. I hadn't cared if I was still wearing the exact same clothes for at least two days or so, I think it's been two days anyway.

I finally found the front door and opened the door. I expected the porch to be completely empty, but it wasn't. I didn't know who these people were, but I wanted them to move. A man at the front held out his hand for me to shake, which I did. I didn't want to seem impolite to them.

"Welcome to your new home, Luna." the man said.

I took a step back into the house. "I'm not your Luna!" I shouted before slamming the door in the peoples face.

"That was rude Leah!" Cassie's voice rang in my head. I kicked the thing nearest to me, which was a table. I didn't care that what I did hurt my foot as I hoped to the nearest couch and sat down.

"I don't care if it was rude, I'm not their Luna! I don't even fully understand what that even fucking means!" I said aloud, not caring who heard me.

I throw down on the siding of the couch to rest my head. I curled up as if I was trying to stay warm.

"I'm not their Luna."
