I woke up with someone knocking on my door, then proceeding to open it. "Leah, it's time to wake up," I heard my 'mother's' voice push out.
"Why? It's not like I'm being kept here against my will, oh wait, I am!" I spat out. I sent a glare in her direction before settling down back in the covers.
"Baby, I'm sorry this has happened to you, but you have to understand, your father and I are doing this to protect you." She explained.
I gave her a sharp look, narrowing my eyes at her. "Don't call me baby, that term is reserved for someone else." I snapped at her. "Since when will this protect me? Keeping me lock up, yeah sure. Great way to earn a relationship right there." I rolled my eyes.
"Alayah," she said standing her ground I suppose. "you will obey your father and I. We are your parents. You will stay here and that's final. Now get up and get dressed, it's 6 am."
I looked at her like she was crazy. "If you'd know me 'mother' then you'd know I don't like waking up early, especially at 6 am. You want me to obey you and my 'father' then you better start treating me like your daughter, unlike for the last 13 years where I didn't know if you were alive or not. I thought you guys abandoned me! 13 years of life without my parents can ruin someone's trust completely."
"That's just crazy talk Alayah, get up and get dressed." then she left the room without another single word.
I didn't move out of that bed for another 30 minutes, I knew by now she'd be pissed off at me. I walked over to the closet to see what I would find. Inside was dozens of dresses. I hate wearing dresses.
I look and look to try to find a t-shirt or something. Seriously! I will not wear a dress, it's against everything I believe in! I wore one to my aunt's funeral, but that's it. "Kaden always questions what we believe in." Cassie's voice perked up. It sounded faint and distant.
"Cassie, what's wrong? You sound hurt." I said to her completely ignoring her statement.
It took her a moment to respond. "I'm okay, Leah. Just last night when they took you, they drugged you with something that made me silent. I couldn't speak to you at all." Cassie said with little strength in her voice.
"They WHAT!" I shouted. I didn't give a flying fish anymore about getting dressed or how messy my hair looked. I flung open my door and took off down the stairs. I didn't know where I was going, but I had to find my so-called 'parents.'
I flew through room after room. I got many weird looks, but I didn't care, I kept on trekking. "'Mother!' Where are you!" I shouted throughout the house. Finally, I found her, running towards me as if in panic.
"What is it, sweetheart?" She asked, acting if she was worried.
"What the hell!" I shouted at her. "Why did you guys fucking drug me!" I looked her directly in the eyes, my blue eyes never leaving her green ones.
She looked down at the floor, embarrassed.
"Alayah, what's wrong?" Kaden spoke up. "You're angry, you need to calm down or you will shift."
I didn't answer him, I wanted to deal with the evil woman in front me. "I want answers, and I'm going to get them now," I told her.
She let out a sigh. "We did it so you wouldn't be distracted." She confessed.
"Distracted, how?" I pushed her on.
"We didn't need your wolf talking to you, trying to help you escape, so we suppressed her for about 5-6 hours it seems like. It should have lasted 12 hours, but apparently not." She explained.
