I didn't have time to react to what Kaden said because my 'parents' were pulling me off the porch and towards an open area with a lot of people already there. There was a stage set up and everything.

"I don't want this," I complained as they dragged me up there. My 'mother' turned and looked at me, clearly angry.

"I don't care what you want, you will stay here with us." She whispered to me. I rolled my eyes. She has no idea what's been planned, I hope not.

My 'father' stepped up to the podium at center stage. "Welcome fellow pack members." He voice boomed over the speakers.

"Alpha," the crowd said back to him. I'd say there was about 100 or so people standing in front of me. While my 'father' was addressing the crowd, I contacted Kaden.

"Kaden, how far away are you from here?" I asked him nervously.

"Maybe 2 hours." He responded. My expression fell.

"Okay," I said to him and continued to listen to what my 'father' was saying.

"Today is a glorious day my fellow wolves. Your rightful heir has returned home!" He said with a smile plastered on his face. I could tell it was kind of forced on his face as if he was being made to do this.

Cheering erupted throughout the crowd of people. "We will have a celebration at 8 pm tonight, and everyone's' attendance is required. After so long with Alayah missing it's not been as sunny on this side of the valley. Welcome home Alayah,"

I nodded my head in my name being called. "Kaden, they're having a celebration at 8 pm tonight," I said to him.

"Okay, that gives us plenty of time to get you and get you out." He replied.

Many people come up to me and give me a hug saying they've "missed me". I plastered a fake smile on my face to fool each one of them.

"Good, because Kaden, I don't think I can handle these people much longer! So much pretending, and I don't even know these people, even if they claim they are my parents!"

"It's okay princess, breath and relax, me, Kyle, Dean, Kayleigh, Mike, Sean, and Dakota are on our way to get you."

With that our conversation was over and the butterflies left my stomach. I will not fall in love with him! No matter how much my stomach flips and Cassie pressures me, I will not let it happen.

Right?

"Come on, Alayah, we've got to prepare you for the celebration tonight," my 'mother' said. She grabbed my hand and pulled me back towards the house.

I glance at the clock as we walking into the house. It was only 9:15 am. "It's going to take me almost 10 hours to get ready?" I exclaimed at her confused.

She let out a laugh. "Sweetie, with how stubborn you are, it's going to take a while."

"But 10 freaking hours!" I complained. She didn't say another word and we walked into my bedroom.

'Mother' made a beeline to the closet and began going through dress after dress. I'm not wearing a fucking dress! Doesn't she understand that?

"I'm not wearing a dress," I said crossing my arms over my chest. She glanced back at me.

"Yes you are Alayah, it's a celebration and it's a requirement to dress up."

I sat down on the bed. "I will not wear a dress! I haven't worn one since I lived with you guys, or whatever."
