🎧 Boy Singing

[Tears streaming from his eyes as he runs from the room]

I don't deserve your kindness, don't deserve your hope;
A long time ago, I broke.

🎤Girl Singing

[Trapped in her bed, cries more]

Come back to me;
Can you not see?
How broken I am without you;
Do you wish to break me anew?

🎧Boy Singing

[Enters a bathroom, and flicks out a pocketknife over the sink]

Only my demons live in this empty shell;
Even if you tell,
Me that I can change;
I'll always be the same.

[Drags the knife across his arm several times, shuddering and watching the blood swirl down the drain]

🎤Girl Singing

[Dries her tears on her sheets]

I know that you're broken through;
But will I be broken too?

🎧Boy Singing

[Washes of the knife and puts it away]

I don't deserve your peace, I don't deserve your love;
I don't deserve to see the Heaven above.

🎤Girl Singing

[Digs her fingers into the sheets, twisting them]

Come back to me;
I know you can see,
The truth gleaming, in the sun;
Reach for it, and become one.

🎧Boy Singing

[Washes his cuts, and pulls his sleeves over them]

You come from Heaven, but I'm from Hell;
The tales you spin, they tell,
But as you spin that lovely tale;
It echoes over hill and vale.
And we both know it will descend;
This tale will have no happy end.

[Walks back to the girl's room]

🎤Girl Singing

[Closes eyes]

Don't you curse me, don't you lie;
Reach for what you feel inside.
Come back to me, round the bend;
Together we be, in the end.

Boy (Spoken)---

[Hugs her, supporting her as she sits up]

"I'm sorry. I love you."

Girl (Spoken)---

[Opens eyes and hugs him back]

"I love you too."
