[Sits on the floor, cross-legged, staring into nothing]

Tick-tock, tick-tock;
All I hear is the clock.
Tick-tock, tick-tock;
Hey, is that a knock?

[Turns to the front door]

🎧Boy Singing

[Bursts into the room from the other door]

You can't take her, she I love;
You're as dark as can be, she's as pure as a dove.
You can't be good for her, you broke her mind;
To reality, now she is blind.

[Throws his weight against the front door]

🔇Night Singing

[Casually opens the door, and walks in, brushing the boy aside]

I once thought that all were blind;
Then I found her, she was mine.

[Sits beside girl, and dangles his version of her heart from his fingers]

I didn't know she already loved;
But that was remedied easily enough.

[Encloses the heart in his hand]

🎧 Boy Singing

[Tries to hit the King of Night]

You're sick, twisted at heart;
She can't love, you can't restart.
You can't force her, only her choice;
But she can't say, she has no voice.

[He looks at the girl]

🎤Girl Singing

[Smiles happily, unaware]

Tick-tock, tick-tock;
My sanity went for a walk.
Tick-tock, tick-tock;
My mind is on the chopping block.

🔇Night Singing

[Looks at boy]

She's stuck with you, but she remembers you not;
Again, she fought.
To me, her heart belongs;
To be with me, my love, waits not long.

[Wraps his arms around her]

🎧 Boy Singing

I love her, unlike you;
It's time you knew.
We're together, her and I;
From a palace in the sky.

[Gestures to Heaven]

You belong in Hell below;
Just thought you should know.

[Smirks, and advances towards Night]

🎤 Girl Singing

[Looks frightened]

Tick-tock, tick-tock;
Take a short jump off a dock.
Tick-tock, tick-tock;
I lost my foundation rock.

[Starts to cry]

🔇Night Singing

I came for you now, you watched for me;
Waited for me, our future will be.
I'll wrap you in my Night;
Protect you from his harsh light.

[Glares at the boy, eyes red with hate]

🎧 Boy Singing

[Yells at the girl]

Love me;
Can't you see,
You can't love him, he's not right;
I am day, he is Night.
You can't be his, you must be mine;
I have to have you this time.

[Tries to grab the girl, but she pulls away]

🎤 Girl Singing

[Cries, choking out the only coherent words she has said]

I'm insane, can't you see;
Only torn shreds of me.
My mind is on a limit, my sanity on a line;
My world of emptiness, is the only thing I'm sure is mine.

[Buries her face in her hands]

🔇Night Singing

I am the darkness, King of Night;
I'll fight the cold, hard light.
You see me, you're not blind;
And I love you, you are mine.

[Picks up the girl and walks towards the door]

🎧 Boy Singing

You can't choose him, I'll keep you near;
You can't leave, I'll trap you here.

[He grabs Night's cloak, but Night shakes him off]

🎤 Girl Singing

[Proclaims sadly, and almost painfully]

Tick-tock, tick-tock;
All I hear, is the clock.

[She closes her eyes, and goes limp; almost like a doll as she's carried away]
