annie leblanc
-

the sun shined through my window as i was laying in bed.

beep beep beep

ugh! my alarm clock. i hit the snooze button and sit up. i stretch my arms and get out of bed. i walk to the bathroom and just look at myself in the mirror for a good minute.

then i realize, today's the last day of school! whoopee! i smile and quickly get ready for the day. i walk downstairs to see my mom cooking us some breakfast. and hayley waiting patiently.

"morning guys!" i said cheerfully. "morning honey." my mom replied. "morning anns." hayley yawned. my mom served us eggs and bacon. "oh, when you get back from school, i have some exciting news for you annie!" my mom smiled. i smiled back and left for school.

i walked outside my house waiting for my best friend jayden to come. jayden and i always walk to school together. "annie!" i heard my best friend running to me. i smiled.

"i...had...to...run..." jayden said panting, resting her hands on her knees. "chill jay! catch a breathe." i giggled. "sorry. anyways, come on! it's the last day of school and we're going to be late!" she said walking. i looked at her confused. i looked down at my phone and gasped. i hadn't realized the time!

we arrived at school and i said bye to jayden before walking to my first class. i take a deep breathe before entering. i open the door and all eyes are on me. great. "miss leblanc. care to explain why you're late?" mr.wood said. i mentally rolled my eyes.

"um, i was getting my books out of my locker. sorry." i mumbled the last part. "very well then. please, take your seat." he said. I softly huffed and walked to my seat. i sit next to my moms best friends son. hayden summerall. yeah i know, you're probably wondering why don't you call him your friend.

well, he's not. we don't really talk. i mean, i always thought he was kinda cute but he gave me no interest. (a/n: this is before the incident takes place)

-time skip to lunch!-

lunch finally came! i walked out of my last class with jayden. "i can't wait for summer!" i said smiling. "me too! my family and i are going to hawaii for 2 weeks." jayden smiled. "no fair!" i complained. we continued talking until we reached our table.

at the table sat lexi, kenzie and brooke. "hey girlies!" kenzie greeted us. i smiled. we sat down and continued talking.

hayden's POV
i walked to the lunch room with my best bro, johnny. "any plans for summer?" he asked. "yeah, my dad said we're going on some road trip." i said as we sat down at the table with the rest of our friends. "nice." He smiled.

after a while, mark randomly dared me. "hey hayden. i'll give you 20 dollars for a dare." he smirked. "sure. what's the dare?" i smirked back. "okay, but you promise you have to do it." he said. i gave it a thought, "fine." i replied. i mean, what could possibly be so bad?

"okay, i dare you to pour this hot soup over that annie chic." he said handing me the soup. "what? why? that's messed up mark." i said shaking my head. "so? you don't even know her." he shrugged. i sighed and picked up the soup. for reputation.

annie's POV
the girls and i were just talking about fun topics. mostly about summer. "hey, what's hayden doing?" lexi whispered pointing to him. he was walking over here with a bowl in his hand. i shrugged.

not even 10 seconds later, i felt something really hot spill over me. i immediately stood up and looked at hayden, who looked guilty. "HAYDEN! WHAT THE ACTUAL HECK!" i said. jayden instantly gave me paper towels. "sorry." he mouthed and walked off.

"come on, i have extra clothes you can change into." jayden whispered. i nodded and followed her into the bathroom.

but why? i official hate hayden summerall.

-time skip to after school, back at the leblanc house-

i walked in pretty upset, but a bit better knowing it's the first day of summer vacation. "hey annie! how was school?" my mom asked me. "eh." i shrugged. "did you change your clothes?" she asked.

"uh yeah. i uh, spilt water on my clothes at lunch so jayden gave me her extra." i said unsure of my words.

"oh. well, ready for the exciting news?!" my mom asked happily. i smiled and nodded. "well, mr.jimmy, hayden, you and i are going on a road trip together for a month!" my mom squealed. my jaw dropped to the floor.

on a road trip? with hayden? for 1 month?!

"uh y-yeah. that's great." i mumbled. "when do we leave?" i asked impatiently. "tomorrow!" my mom smiled. i forced a really bad fake smile and walked to my room.

best summer vacation ever. note the sarcasm.
