ugh. the day that i was dreading came. the day i leave on a road trip with my least favorite person.

"anni- oh. you're already up!" my mom smiled walking in with a laundry basket at her hip. "mom, who's gonna take care of hayley?" i asked yawning and stretching.

"jayden's mom. now, get ready and eat breakfast. we have a long day ahead of us." my mom smiled before leaving my room.

i groaned and got up the urge to go demolish my breakfast. i take a shower and throw on some comfy clothes for the long trip.

...

as i was putting my plate into the sink, i heard a loud noise coming from the stairs. i look behind me and see 2 big suitcases.

"oops! sorry dear!" my mom shouted from upstairs. i giggled and playfully rolled my eyes.

ding dong

that must be them. yay. i walk over to the door and open it, revealing who was probably mr.jimmy. "hello annie! how have you been?" mr.jimmy said giving me a hug. i hugged him back. "it could've been better. how about you?" i ask forcing a smile.

we made a conversation until my mom walked down. "oh, hello jimmy!" my mom smiled hugging him. they made short talk until hayden came up.

"okay, let's get these bags in the car." my mom said carrying her suitcase. i grabbed mine too and struggled carrying it to the car. "need help?" hayden asked walking next to me.

"no thanks." i sternly said. i continued to the car. i dropped it in the truck and sighed in relief. but i also realized that i would be sitting in the back of the car, with hayden. oh boy.

we all got in the car. "where are we going?" i ask mr.jimmy who was driving. "i'm not sure." he smiled through the car mirror. i sighed and leaned my head against the window.

this is going to be the longest summer vacation ever.
