annie's pov

i open my eyes, seeing the early morning sunlight shining on my face. then i find hayden's arms wrapped around me. i smile and nuzzle my head into hayden's neck.
"morning too you too princess." he said laughing. "oh, i didn't know you were awake." i said, my cheeks turning pink from embarrassment. "aw annie. you're so cute." hayden said.
i hid my grin and turned around, not facing hayden. "come on babe." hayden said in his morning voice. "hmm, i'm really liking the new nickname." i smirked to myself.
he giggled and got up. "well, we only have a couple days left on this road trip. and my dad and your mom still don't know we're dating." hayden said.
"well, i'm sure they wouldn't mind." i said sitting up in the bed and wrapping the blankets around me.
we both got ready for the day and wore really warm clothes. since we're doing snow festivities. "you look like a snowman." i giggled looking at hayden.
he just gave me a playful glare. "come on leblanc, i'm going to show you down in snowboarding." hayden said opening the door.
"i think it's the opposite." i smirked. we pushed past the heavy snow to our parents cabin. "alrighty kids, ready for some fun?" mr.jimmy smiled. we nodded and walked to the carts that carry you upwards.
since it was two per cart, hayden and i obviously sat next to each other. the whole way up we just talked smack and laughed about how we were going to beat each other.
once we got to the top, we had three mountain choices. one was the kiddy one, the second was 'runners rush' and the third one was 'dare devil ski'
"let's go on the dare devil ski!" hayden said walked towards it with his snowboard. "um, i don't know hayden..." i said unsure. "come on, it'll be fun!" he said.
i sighed and went with it. "three, two, one!" we both raced down the mountain together. it was all fun and games until there was a steep drop. that wasn't suppose to be there.
i slid right off and fell at least 70 feet down. i couldn't feel anything. it went black.
