Jungkook POV

I sat in the room that the nurse brought me to, it looked to be someone's personal office.

I slowly dragged my eyes across the walls lined with degrees, pictures and bookshelves. The room was plain but personalized, I sat fidgeting my hands as I sat alone on the couch waiting.

"Sorry I'm late" a man said as he walked in, I looked over to him and I could tell this was his room, he perfectly matched the aesthetics of the room.

"I'm doctor Hansung sorry to keep you waiting" he said holding out his hand. I looked up to him as he towered above me and shook his hand. I watched silently as he walked over to his desk grabbed something and came to sit across from me.

"So, what's your name" he said with a huge smile on his face. I looked down to the paper on his lap that clearly had my name on it.

"It's Jungkook" I said awkwardly, I knew that was his attempt at starting up a conversation.

"So how are you" he said next and I knew that the rest of this appointment was going to be painfully awkward.

I was in the room answering Dr.Hansung's questions for less than a half an hour before he left saying he would be right back.

I fidgeted and sat in silence, the only noise was the ticking of a clock, I didn't notice it before because it's faint. I looked around but I couldn't find the clock and it made me nervous.

I got up and walked over to his desk. I noticed a digital clock ontop and learned over it and the sound got louder. I let out a sigh, I thought I was going insane.

"Do you like it?" Hansung's said as he walked in and I was staring down at the clock. I answered back a small "yea" before making my way back to the couch.

"The sound relaxes me" he said walking over and sitting down "anyway good news I'm gonna  call your mom and you can go home today."

I got happy at the news that I could go home but I didn't know when, I'm sure I have to be checked out by my mom but does she have work.

The doctor walked over, sat at his desk and dialed a number into his phone. I listened in but couldn't really hear.

He set the phone down and told what she told him, "she was gonna visit at about two so she'll pick me up then."

As I heard the word visit I thought about Taehyung. I looked to the clock it was 1:07 it's been about an hour I thought to myself.

"Thank you Hansung's but I had a visitor so do you think I could go back to them?" I asked, he answered back a short "yeah" and playfully shooed me out of the room.

I walked back to my room quickly and opened up the door. I slowly walked in, I guess it's obvious he wouldn't wait for an hour I told myself but I was still disappointed.

I crawled into bed sulking a bit, I was about to turn the TV on when the door opened. I looked over hoping it was Taehyung but it was just the nurse, I told myself it was stupid to hope that.

The nurse called me and I looked to her, "that boy who was here before want's you to meet him up at the roof" was all she said before exiting the room.

I took a second to process it because I just called myself stupid for hoping. I stood up and hurriedly left the room, but I came to a standstill after a couple of steps. I looked around for the elevator, I had never been to the hospital before so I didn't know where it was.

I looked for a map but couldn't find one. I approached the nurse desk but my shyness got the best of me and I couldn't ask for help. Taehyung getting and leaving flashed through my head and I gathered up some courage.

I fumbled over my words as I asked but the nurse nicely answered and I followed her directions.

I walked out as the ding sounded and the doors opened. I looked around but didn't see him. I walked to the side and noticed him from the corner of my eye.

He was laying in the shade of the elevator. I stood over him with a big smile on my face, who falls asleep on the hospital roof.

I bent down and shook him a little. He didn't wake up. I shook him again this time harder and longer.

It took him a second but he sat up. "You're back" he said a big smile on his face. He stood up and started to stretch. "So your bringing someone who just hurt themselves to the roof" I said sarcastically, the second I uttered the words I regretted saying them but he didn't get awkward.

"Don't worry I'm here so you'll be fine" he said stretching up to the sky. His words were cocky but oddly reassuring.

"There's also a tall gate so.." he said jokingly. I looked around at the gate that I hadn't noticed before and laughed softly.

I felt like I could say anything to him and it'd be fine, I felt like I didn't have to worry as much around him. I felt more comfortable around him after only a couple of days than really anybody else ever because, well he seemed honest and not just trying to get something from me.

I wanted to get to know more about him so we walked around just talking, we each answered basic questions about ourselves trying to learn more about the other. I was fascinated by the things I learned about him and loved hearing about what we had in common.

I was so focused on talking to him that I didn't even realize how fast the time was flying.

I was shocked when I saw my mom standing in front of me, "oh are you early?" I said and she was clearly confused.

"No... It's 2:10 already" she said showing me the clock on her phone. Taehyung introduced himself as I just stood there wondering how it only felt like twenty minutes had passed.

"Do you want a ride home?" mom said and I looked to Taehyung. "No but thank you" he said before turning to me. I thanked him for visiting and said see you tomorrow. He said bye back and made his way to the elevator.

I looked over to my mom who had a big smile on her face. "So he's that one friend of yours huh" she said, "~maybe" I answered back shortly and walked past her.

I still needed to grab something from the room before leaving so I went and got it with my mom following behind before we went home.
