Chapter 6. The end of a friendship

It was a Thursday morning and Radhika was more excited than ever before. She quickly got ready and went down to take some breakfast. She made herself a bowl of fruits and cereal. After eating her breakfast, she heard a car honking outside. Radhika rushed to the front door and saw Rajah standing on the seat screaming "your prince and his chariot await you"

Radhika laughed before leaving the house and locking the door behind her. Rajah walked to the passenger door and opened it. He gave a peck on Radhika's cheek before she got in. Rajah then rushed to the driver side and hopped on. the both went to university. On their way, Rajah decided to pick up Shanaya. When they reached Shanaya's place, Rajah honked the horn. Shanaya got out and walked to the car quietly. She sat in the backseat and kept her mouth shut. it was almost as if she was giving both Rajah and Radhika the cold shoulder. They then drove to university.

Once they reached university they all went separate ways. Radhika and Shanaya went to their classroom. the whole walk, Shanaya was quieter than usual. Radhika asked if something is wrong. Shanaya shooked her head before entering the classroom. The girls both sat down and waited for class to start.

After 2 classes back to back was free block. Shanaya and Radhika walked to the cafeteria and waited for Rajah to come along. They all had two free blocks back to back; Free block and lunch. After a couple minutes Rajah showed up. Shanaya then walked away. Rajah and Radhika were both confused

Rajah looked at radhika like he was asking her who should talk to her. Radhika got out of her seat and patted rajah on the back before walking towards Shanaya. Once she reached Shanaya, she softly put her hand on Shanaya's shoulder. Shanaya shrugged it of. Radhika asked shanaya whats wrong.

Shanaya then fumed "whats wrong, I'll tell you whats wrong. You. You just joined this university less than a week and Rajah already likes you. You know I liked him and you still went and kissed him."

Before Radhika could even speak, Shanaya continued. "Don't even try to defend yourself. During class time i felt bad that you were feeling sick , so after lunch i decided to surprise you. but then I saw it. I saw Rajah kissing you and you didn't pull away. I told you i had a crush on him the first day we met and yet you still went for it. What else have you guys been doing?"

Radhika explained to Shanaya about Rajah asking her out, Rajah being her neighbor, and that Radhika started to fall for him before she knew about Shanaya. Radhika tried to apologize but Shanaya wouldn't have it. Shanaya started a girl fight in the middle of cafeteria. Everyone started chanting girl fight encouraging the behaviour. Rajah decided to step in and defended Radhika. Shanaya was hurt and fled the scene. She couldn't believe it. The guy who was her bestie and first crush chose the new girl. Shanaya texted both Radhika and Rajah that her friendship with them is over.

Radhika and Rajah looked at each other then looked at their phones. it was only lunch time and they lost their best friend.

after lunch Rajah decided to escort Radhika to her next class. Shanaya was already waiting in the class. Radhika decided to sit in front instead of next to Shanaya so that there wont be any more drama.

The Class was about to start and suddenly there was a boy who entered the class. Radhika was shocked due to the fact she knew this guy. It was her old mate from her early years. he looked like a close replica of Hercules; chiseled jawline, tanned skin, broad shoulders and very muscular. His tight shirt could show that. he had a six pack that may be able to pull of for an eight pack. Shiva. he was looking for an empty seat than noticed Radhika. Radhika got up and hugged him. They then sat next to each other and catched up before class began.

the teacher then came in the class room. it was an old man in his 60's with white hair, goatee, and blue eyes. You could swear he was close to looking like Santa clause himself. His name was Mr.Kringles. The teacher then explained that the rules have changed. The pairs that we were assigned or ever assigned will be changed. And the partner we choose this class will be our partner for every other subject. Shiva looked at Radhika with puppy dog eyes . She laughed and said She will be his partner.

The class then begun again it was the same teacher back to back. First was Graphic Design then it was Web Design. The whole two classes Shiva was fooling around trying to make Radhika laugh and always succeded.

After both of the classes were over, Radhika and Shiva walked to the locker area. Turns out Shiva just transferred to the High years. Radhika then explained what she knows about the university so far.

Rajah was finished with his classes and walked up to the locker. He then saw Radhika and Shiva talking to each other. He walked up to Radhika and kissed her on the cheek and asked who's the guy.

"Rajah meet Shiva. he was one of my best friends in beginning years. We were sort of inseparable." Radhika stated

"ya, you should have seen them in class. They almost looked as if they were dating" shanaya scoffed from a distance

"shut up shanaya" Rajah and Radhika said in unison

Radhika closed her locker and walked out to the universitys entrance. Rajah and Shiva were right behind her. Rajah asked Radhika if she wanted a lift back home. Shiva said he will drop her off. Radhika then chimed in by saying she will meet Rajah later on. Rajah was a bit jealous but nodded and went on his convertible and drove to his house.

Shiva led Radhika to his car. She couldn't believe it. It was a red Ferrari F70. One of her dream cars right in front of her eye. She then gazed at the car like an archeologist looking at the most priceless artifact. she was stunned.

"wanna take it for a test drive?" Shiva said smiling sat on the driver seat, snapping Radhika out of her mind

Radhika nodded and got in the passenger seat. Shiva then drove full speed like he was trying to win a race. Swiftly shifting lanes avoiding other cars he reached Radhika's neighborhood in just a few seconds.

Outside Rajah's house, Rajah could hear a car screeching to a halt. he looked out the window and saw Radhika getting out of the car. Rajah kept on staring outside the window. His jealousy grew and grew. he did not even know why. he only started dating this girl and he already feels he has authority over her.

Radhika and Shiva were sitting on the hood of the car looking up at the sky. the sun was about to set, the sky looked so magical, hues of red yellow and orange were coloring the sky. Radhika and Shiva started to talk about the past on how everything was simpler. Then discussed their lives after they lost contact. Before they knew it, it was almost dinner time. Radhika invited Shiva in for dinner, Shiva accepted the offer. They went in and Shiva headed for the living room. Radhika texted Rajah if he wanted to join them for dinner. Rajah responded nah, have fun tho. Radhika thought to herself this isn't like Rajah. Then she ordered some pizza and chicken wings.

After ordering, Radhika and Shiva were both chilling on the couch in the living room. Then the food order came and they ate. After finish eating, Shiva decided to go back. Hugged Radhika and left the house. he went straight to the car and drove without looking back.

Radhika got ready for bed as always. Then tried to call Rajah, He did not pick up. A couple minutes later Radhika got a text from Rajah. "got some work to do, talk tomorrow yeah?" Something was definitely wrong with Rajah. But Radhika was to tired to care. She dosed of to sleep thinking about tomorrow.
