Chapter 9. long lost brother

It was another beautiful Sunday. Radhika woke up first so she decided to make breakfast for her and Rajah. While Radhika made breakfast, she reflected the week she went through; meeting rajah and shanaya, having an on and off relationship with shanaya, finding out shiva was transferred to the same course, the letter, the step mom, and so much more. all in all it was a very 'productive' week.

Rajah soon woke up and walked towards the kitchen where Radhika was making breakfast. he sneakily went behind her and snaked his arms around her waist before pulling her in for a hug from behind. Radhika softly smiled and kissed his cheek. Rajah walked to the couch area in the living room. Radhika soon entered with a tray of food for rajah and her to share. Rajah then explained that his brother was coming for a visit in awhile. Radhika said she'll wait in the guest room till he leaves. Rajah told her to be there so that his family could know her one by one. Radhika smiled and agreed.

After breakfast they both got ready and waited for Prakesh to come over. Around noon the doorbell rang. Rajah answered the door. Prakesh then 'bro-hugged' rajah and they both went to the couch area to catch up. Soon Radhika entered from the kitchen with some refreshments. Rajah introduced Prakesh to Radhika. Then the trio started talking. There was no topic off the table. They talked about their lives, their hobbies, how the families are like and so much more.

Later Radhika decided to make lunch for all three of them and left for the kitchen. At first it was quiet after Radhika left then out of nowhere Prakesh started up the conversation.

"you did well baby brother" prakesh stated

"cut the chit chat and tell me what you came for" Rajah said straight to the point.

"i don't want to discuss our business near your girlfriend" Prakesh said "she may think less of you"

"she understands that the past is in the past" Rajah said angrily "she knows my business in the past does not make who i am today"

"awww,,,she seem so naive" prakesh sarcastically said "she's perfect for you"

Rajah anger grew and grew to the point where he stood up and punched Prakesh. That then started the two boys fighting each other. The fight got bigger and bigger until Radhika heard and interfered. By interfering she got a huge slap from Prakesh which stopped the fight. Radhika's right cheek was red and she spat out blood. she then ran to the kitchen to wash up. Rajah watched Radhika with worry as she left the living room.

"she deserved what she got" Prakesh said wiping some blood of his face. Rajah turned towards him

"leave" Rajah said angrily

"bro, she interfered two brothers fighting, she was bound to get hurt." Prakesh explained

"brother," Rajah scoffed "i was adopted by your family, ever since I was you treated me like an item you owned, not a brother. thats how we ended up with an unfinished business remember"

"and that why i am here, you still owe your share" Prakesh said.

"my share? My share?" Rajah asked as though he was blaming Prakesh "without my help, you wouldn't have got the business without the money i gave you. the business is mine, but i will gladly give you the share that started the company."

Rajah walked towards a small table near the entrance and opened the drawer to get a small brown envelop full of money then walked towards Prakesh and slammed the envelope in Prakesh hands.

"now leave before I call the police and file a complaint against you" rajah looked at Prakesh angrily

Prakesh nodded and left the place. Rajah took a deep breath in and exhaled before going in the kitchen to check on Radhika. Rajah peeped through the door to see a teared up Radhika chopping vegetables to put in a stew. Rajah knocked on the door and startled Radhika. Radhika smiled and got back to chopping. Rajah went inside the kitchen slowly and walked up to where radhika was. He placed his hand on radhika's back and rubbed it before placing a kiss on her forehead. Radhika stopped cuttingg vegetables and hugged Rajah crying in his shirt. Rajah picked her up like a baby and brought her to the guest room.

Once they were in the guest room Rajah put Radhika down and told her to sit on the bed. he then left to go get the first aid kit from his room then went back to the guest room. He plopped on the bed as if he has lost all his energy. Radika then noticed the wound near Rajah abs. The wound was excreting blood. Radhika opened the first aid box and took out the antiseptic to stop the blood flowing out. Rajah stopped Radhika and said he was trying to cure Radhika. Radhika then stated that he was more wounded then she was. She then used antiseptic filled cotton buds and gently placed in on rajah wound. Rajah flinched a bit due to the sting.

After the blood stopped flowing out of the wound, Radhika went to finish cooking lunch. Once lunch was ready, Radhika called Rajah to come to the living room. as rajah entered the living room he could smell the food that radhika placed on the living room table. Radhika sat on the couch and turn on the tv. Rajah sat next to her and they both started to eat.

The rest of the day Radhika and Rajah spent time taking care of one another until dinner. After dinner they got ready for school and bed before they fell asleep in each others arms
