Chapter 28. interviews are the worst

Radhika woke up and got ready to leave for the interviews. she texted Rajesh if he could drive her to her first interview. He then texted back that he will be arriving at manimegle's in 10 minutes. Soon enough radhika entered Rajesh car and they drove to radhika's first interview of the day. During the drive, radhika found out that suresh fired Rajesh because he could not handle the family drama anymore. So now he works for manimegle and radhika free of charge starting that day onwards. There was a lot of things Rajesh and radhika caught up with. Radhika was so thrilled that Rajesh would now stay with her and manimegle from then on. However she knew that nothing was for certain.

After a few chats and laughs they arrived at a news studio which will be the first stop of radhika's full day of interview. As she got out of the car she was greeted by a trainee that would assist her with anything radhika needed. the trainee led her to the green room where radhika had to wait until it was her time to get interviewed. the green room had a variety of snacks and beverages. Radhika grabbed a plate and took some snacks and a cup of lemon tea before sitting on the couch. Then there was a knock on the door, entered smith son with 3 stylists to help radhika get ready for the interview. After 30 minutes, radhika was all set and was led to the backstage of the main stage of the interview. she waited for her cue to enter the MainStage. soon she was cued in by the world famous entertainment news reporter bryan riverchest. The interview began.

"so radhika" bryan started "from an aspiring art student who struck gold and gained a job as an upcoming superstar for smithsco. How does it feel"

"well bryan it feels like I'm living in a dream" radhika explained "i still remember the day my lecturer gave me the good news"

"you started as a duo didn't you" bryan asked "with a guy named shiva?"

"yes I did" radhika replied "but that was just a formality. smithson only hired us as a duo because he wanted to see if we both did equal amount of work."

"so how come shiva quit" bryan asked curiously

"he was fired" Radhika said reminiscing about the incident "smithson wanted me to be one of his contracted singer/songwriter."

"and you really became one of the best competing with Karla" bryan stated "speaking of which, how is your relationship with Karla"

"i see her as a superstar born and raised in this town" radhika said trying to hide the truth

"but wasn't there a social media with you and her" bryan reminded "that ended with her spilling your secret little habit"

"yes its true" radhika said seriously "and I did not even know how it started. I tried to reason with her but she wouldn't have it"

"i think one of the studios top spy in terms of celebrity has a video footage of the time you guys shared information on an upcoming tour" bryan said "roll tape"

And with that the video played with sound of radhika asking karla to come with her to see smith son and karla rudely declining. The studio audience gasped at how rude karla was in real life. Radhika watching it felt pain as to remembering what happened next.

"wow, karla seems really rude don't you think" bryan asked

"i see her more as a misunderstood person" radhika said "i being a new upcoming star can more or less relate to the way she feels. Its a hard business to be in. Tons of competition and the better you are the more you get. So I wont really judge Karl's action by what she said or did. she just acted like that because she is trying her hardest to be on top of things."
