Chapter 25. Karla vs Radhika

Radhika woke up from a weird nightmare. it started of like the best dream she had ever had which turned gruesome right before she woke up. The dream focused on her career and how it all went from fame and glory to rumors and betrayal. She did not know what to do she was close to reaching for her medicine bottle when she heard someone clearing their voice

"had a nightmare?" Rajah asked walking up to radhika's bed. "i know how that feels. but its just the side effects you get from lack of substances" he said as he grabbed the bottle and fiddled with it.

"what should I do to stop it" radhika asked

"theres nothing you can do" rajah said with his hand on radhika shoulder rubbing in comfort "healing takes time. What you could do for now is start your day with a healthy breakfast"

Radhika smiled and nodded. Rajah then left the room and radhika followed him to the kitchen where they made breakfast. While making breakfast they discussed about what radhika's family was hiding from her. Soon Rajahs phone lit up with multiple messages from chirag which then he realized he was running late. he packed his breakfast kissed radhika on the forehead and left in a hurry. Radhika again was confused that was the second incident rajah kissed her. What did it mean. she decided to brush it off and got ready to record new songs in the studio. Reaching the studio she noticed karla leaving the studio. she decided to go up to her and make amends.

"well well well" karla said "if it isn't the girl who stole the show"

"what are you talking about" radhika asked

"you know exactly what I mean" karla said

Karla then explained that smithson only had enough money in the company to have one tour and he decided to give the opportunity for radhika with karla as opening act. Radhika was speechless. She was not ready for going on tour. She had so many things going on with her life she wouldn't be able to concentrate on the tour. She apologized to karla for not knowing and tried to calm her down by asking her to follow radhika to meet smithson.

"me? Go with you?" Karla asked sarcastically "no whats done is done and you are going to pay for it."

Karla took her phone from her purse and started typing. She then strutted to starbucks. Radhika decided to talk to smithson about the tour. she walked towards smith sons building and knocked on the door. Smithson opened the door and welcomed Radhika into his office and told her to take a seat. he then sat on his chair as radhika got on the seat opposite of his.

"so I've got good news and maybe not so good news" smithson started off

"karla told me" radhika commented "about the tour"

"ah yes. So how are you feeling about it" smithson asked

"well I am thrilled and extremely thankful for the opportunity" radhika said "but with whats been going on in my life i think i wont be able to handle it"

Right before smithson persuaded radhika to do the tour, radhika got a call from rajah. she picked up to hear rajah a little pissed. Radhika tried to calm him but he would not listen. Radhika then asked him what was going on. Rajah told radhika to look at her social media. so she opened it. Tons of notifications started to pop out on karla's post about the upcomingg tour.

The post read. "even though your the superstar you still have to open for a newbie wannabe #sorrynotsorry #opening4radhika #radhikawannabe"

Radhika was shocked and appalled by the post he showed to smithson and he also could not believe what he saw. he called up Karla and started lecturing her and demanding her to post a rebuttal of what she posted. she said she would only when pigs fly in a frozen hell with a dead devil next to a crying jesus. Smithson could not take it anymore of karla's drama and fired karla on the phone before hanging up. Radhika decided to go to her studio room to record some songs.

She walked towards her area and closed the door. she sat on the couch and picked up her guitar. she started to play a couple chords and hummed at the same time. She tried her best to concentrate but all she could think about was karla's post. Radhika could not believe what happened. She then placed the guitar down and took her song book and pen from her bag. She jotted down some lyrics. She always carried that song book wheneverr she felt to emotional. People usually use diaries when they write down about their day to feel better. but for radhika her song book is like her diary.

Once she finished writing lyrics down she saw that it was nearing lunch time. she decided to visit her mother. She went out the studio and on to the pavement where she walked all the way to her mothers place which was exactly halfway from rajahs place as well as the studio. Once she reached Mary the maid opened the door and led her to the living room where she saw manimegle talking to Rajesh. when manimegle looked towards their direction she stood up to give radhika a hug. in the hug, radhika cried. she finally reached her breaking point.

Manimegle guided radhika to the couch to sit in between her and Rajesh. She then explained about why she's crying,. Every single thing that was on her mind and heart fled out on that day at that time. Rajesh and manimegle looked at each other worriedly before looking back at radhika. they both cared dearly about radhika. They hated seeing her at this state. Even though it was their first time seeing it this bad it made their heart break.

"its ok my love" manimegle said "its all going to be alright"

"listen to your mother" Rajesh said "everything now maybe getting harder but remember its just an obstacle to happiness and..."

"success"radhika finish the sentence "mom always told that to me ever since I started crying"

Manimegle smiled and kissed radhika on the forehead before calling in Mary the maid to make them something to eat. They all started to talk about strategies to overcome the incident until rajah surprised radhika by coming in the house.

"your mom and Rajesh texted me to come by" rajah said hugging radhika "you okay?"

"better now" radhika said smiling

They all then headed for the dining room to eat what Mary the maid provided. after they finished eating Rajah and Radhika decided to leave because it was getting late. so they said their goodbyes and hopped in the car to drive to rajahs place. During the drive rajah made it his aim to make radhika laugh. They both made a plan of revenge towards karla. All of rajahs ideas made radhika laugh.

Once they reached the place, Rajah parked the car and they went up. Radhika was about to head to the guest room when rajah asked a simple question.

"what are going to do now" rajah asked

"i know exactly what to do" radhika said

And with that she took her phone and typed for a couple minutes before she closed her phone.

"check your social media" radhika commanded sweetly

Rajah looked at his feed and saw radhika's latest post which said "i apologize for the outburst of Karla, she just could not see the fact someone was helping her get her way #earlierconvo #served #firedkarla"

"remind me not to be on your bad side" rajah joked

Radhika smiled and said goodnight to rajah before heading to the room. she got all ready for bed when all of a sudden her phoned made a noice. it was a notification about karla commenting.

the comment read "at least I'm not a druggie. #burn"

Radhika was speechless how did karla know her problem with drugs. She never told anybody other than rajah her parents, rajesh and... oh no. It cant be. Has the guy she used to be friends with told karla about radhikas past.

"shiva" radhika whispered in anger.

She could not sleep once she saw the comment thinking the guy-who not only got radhika as a friend but as a lover as well- blabbed about her past to her enemy. She knew by tomorrow every media would want an expose on the situation. Radhika couldn't contain the stress any longer instead of taking one pill for the night she took three before heading to sleep peacefully.
