Chapter 7. the on and off friendship

it was finally Friday. Radhika was so excited. It was the day Rajah and her were going on their first official date. She got ready and headed downstairs. She then made her favorite breakfast: Toast and tea. Simple yet satisfying. she then got a text from Shiva "u need a ride?" Radhika started to think. Shiva's car was comfortable but she loves speed and that is the only thing it lacked. Radhika texted back "hold on i'll check." She then texted Rajah "hey stranger. Coming to pick me up?" Rajah then replied "right outside your door gorgeous"

Radhika got her stuff and headed out the door. But rajah was not there. Then there was another text. "look behind you" she turned and there he was. They hugged each other. He apologized for his behavior last night and said he will do his best not to show it ever again. They both walked to Rajah's car and drove to university. Once they arrived they saw Shiva waiting at the steps of the entrance. Radhika screamed Shivas name from afar. Shiva looked up and smile standing up. They both hugged. Rajah was standing in the back looking a bit jealous.

Then a loud sound of a motor bike engine was heard from a distance. All three looked at the area the noise was coming from. Sure enough it was Shanaya riding her Harley to the bike lot to park it. She took off her helmet and locked it on the left handle and walked towards the entrance. when she passed the trio, she stared down Rajah, looked at Shiva, and flipped her hair to Radhika. All three were confused but shrugged it of as they headed to their first class.

Radhika and Shiva waved bye to a jealous Rajah as they entered their classroom. There were two empty seats near Shanaya. There was no other empty seat. So Shiva chose the seat in between Shanaya and Radhika. The class started. in came a female that had silky white hair, wrinkly skin that still has a bit of glow, and her eye were like two small snowballs. The teacher was blind. Her name was Mrs.Collette she was holding a black cane. Shanaya decided to brown nose up to the teacher and helped her with the lesson. the teacher then stated there will be no extra credits, even to those who are brown nosers. This made the whole class laugh and mock Shanaya. Shanaya was embarrassed. her face was as red as a ripe tomato and she started to tremble under the pressure. Radhika couldn't take it seeing Shanaya like that. She stood up and started to talk.

"Leave Shanaya alone, she's not brown nosing, she's just being nice as she always does. if she was not nice, we would have never been friends to start with." Radhika looked at Shanaya smiling and Shanaya smiled back.

The class then continued. It was a class on perception and senses. "without these two things, creativity will not grow' the teacher stated. After the first class was over, it was a free block. Before Radhika could leave the room, Shanaya stopped her. Shiva said to Radhika that he will go to cafeteria. Shanaya and Radhika then started talking. Shanaya apologized for her actions in the past; avoiding Radhika, ruining their friendship, not being there for Radhika. She then mentioned that she missed being her friend. Radhika forgave and hugged Shanaya. They then started becoming friends. They both walked towards the cafeteria.

Once the girls reached the cafeteria, the boys were already there. Rajah saw radhika and walked up to her to give her a peck on the cheek. Then he saw Shanaya and was startled. Shanaya then told Radhika to sit first. Radhika looked at Rajah as if she was asking if it was alright. Rajah nodded and Radhika walked towards the table Shiva was sitting. Shanaya then started to apologize and explain herself with Rajah. Rajah accepted her apology and hugged her. They then turned towards the table where they saw Radhika and Shiva joking around with each other.

They then had an hour to rest before the next class. Shiva recommended skipping the class to gain more time. Radhika thought it might be a bad idea.Shanaya and Rajah agreed with Radhika. Shiva then decided it was better to stay. he then got up to go to the toilet for a bit. He patted Radhika on the shoulder and left. Shanaya then started asking about Shiva; is he single?whats he like?whats his interest and dislikes?whats his type of girl? Radhika and Rajah were a bit confused at first but then after awhile Radhika started to understand.
