Parker's P.O.V.
My legs had never forced my feet faster to the pavement in my life. Ramon and I were literally running for our lives. We could die today if we didn't make it somewhere safe. I turned my legs away from my known direction of running to the apartment and knew the only other safe destination we could go to.
"Parker, where are we going?" Ramon asked but I was thinking too hard of directions to answer him.
I knew Ramon lived not very far away, and that was where we would have to run to. I wasn't sure how much longer my legs could keep pumping. I jumped over a small fence that led us out of the park and cut through a small green way of trees. Ramon and I zoomed past a street without waiting for cars to pass causing them to honk and people to curse at us, but I was too scared to notice how we could be risking our lives. A small bakery building was ahead, I knew cutting through there by using the front to back entrance would get us closer to safety.
"Ramon, follow me no matter what." I yelled behind me.
"O-okay." He replied sounding out of breath.
I slammed through the door and swung it open behind me for Ramon who quickly followed behind. The exit lie ahead and customers stared at us while employees yelled we weren't supposed to be in the back of the store.
"We're being chased by a man who is harassing us!" Ramon yelled to get their attention focused on my dad who had just come through the door.
Someone yelled to call the police and I sighed in relief. Maybe my dad was going to go away for good. We zoomed through the exit of the bakery and arrived to grassy lands where we were safe at the moment and lied in a grassy area near the parking lot, anything seemed relaxing after what we had just been through.
"P-Parker, you okay?" Ramon asked as I fell sideways onto the grass.
"For now." I responded sighing. We were quiet for awhile hearing the sounds of sirens in the distance until the neared closer. "We should get going."

Ramon's P.O.V.
We got up from our short break and walked as casual as possible to my house that was now ten minutes away. The wind was getting stronger and Parker was getting weaker. I knew neither of us had eaten breakfast that morning besides apple cider and coffee, but considering the fact he might be sick made me concerned.
"I have something I wanted to talk about." I said seeing him tense up.
"You can say it." He said wrapping his arms around his body for warmth against the wind.
I took a deep breath and exhaled. He'd get angry for sure, but I just had to ask. It could save his life.
Just before I could open my mouth a scream came from behind us as a lady on the sidewalk was pushed out of the way by Parker's dad. He had escaped and was still going after us.
"Oh fuck." Parker caught his breath and started running dragging me behind him. We neared a busy street with a red cross walking light.
"We can't just go through we'll get hit!" I yelled but he couldn't hear me over his fear.
I braced myself as we ran through the traffic. People screamed out their windows and others swerved to avoid hitting Parker and I.
"We're almost there." Parker yelled jumping over another small fence into my neighbourhood.
My legs were sore and I couldn't feel my feet. Lungs in my chest felt on fire, but we had to keep going. I heard Parker's dad getting closer which made me more motivated to the point where I completely caught up with Parker.
